Soooooo good. She was obviously nervous at the start but it got better and better.

I didn't enjoy it as much as I anticipated. A lot of the dance moves didn't flow well to me; it came across as rehearsed and was very "I need to do this move, now I need to do this move, and then I need to do that move". I did love 'Breathe On Me', 'I'm a Slave 4 U' and 'Womanizer though (the latter particularly did flow well), plus she looked incredible and I'm glad it seems everyone is still so invested in her.

I think Womanizer and Toxic were the best. I know what you mean about the "this move, then that", but I only really got that a lot on Work Bitch. I think the choreography for Breathe on Me was very smooth and interesting felt very natural. I loved seeing her LIVING on that guitar with the hairography, but I feel like she could have easily used another hit to use that gimmick, a slightly rocked up guitar heavy Oops I Did it again or something.
I just think when you think where she was last time she did a solo live TV performance compared to now, it's just astonishing to see, I never thought I'd see her get to this level again. It's far from Britney's best performance of all time, but I think any pop star would be very satisfied with that level of performance. |

Yeah, it was more towards the beginning where I got that impression (perhaps, like others have pointed out, that was just down to initial nerves?) and the dancing on the guitar was when the performance took off for me. Then, like you say, 'Breathe On Me' and the mini floor dance during 'Slave' was great and ran smooth before culminating in the best part with 'Toxic'.
I've not watched many Britney performances but I did still feel it was an improvement on what people have said we've had before. |
