Poor Sarah but I think I'm glad Nicola is Leona's manager again. I don't really follow what her managers do and achieve tbh but I know that Leona and Nicola had a great professional and personal relationship. Also any change that may help the UK radio situation is good.

Yeah Soe said it will be officially announced later but she has landed the role of Grizabella on a 4 month (extendible) contract.
I am just going to look at the positives, its only 4 months and she will potentially garner a lot of praise from this. Plus she will be working with some of the best vocal coaches available who will help her perfect her technique so she is capable of singing Memory night after night, that is what excites me the most, this could really help her vocally. |

I guess for Leona its another incredible achievement to add to her list. She will still release another studio album in 2017. I'm sure of it. It is quite funny though, she has CATS, a song with Pitbull & a song with Alesso premiering. It either shows her diversity or lostness, I'd go with diversity. |

I think it's brilliant news.. It gets her name out there again.. And it does it in the US.. And I think Broadway is an amazing achievement and it helps with credibility/losing that X factor tag

I'm happy about it! I didn't realise that the role doesn't sing as much. So it shouldn't strain her voice and she could still record for the album whilst doing the show. Hope Leona will get that Tony nomination. <3

I doubt Leona will be going from musical to musical as Def Jam likely have a set time when they want the album to be recorded by. Hopefully with the show and collabs with other aritsts, she'll be able to get herself name back out there in the US.

I'm actually excited about this now, great seeing so many sites reporting on it - i'm seeing her everywhere, billboard, guardian, yahoo, rolling stone, new york times, bbc etc - Leona needs to make sure shes on the health and fitness to ensure shes mentally and physically ready for a Broadway show!

This will only widen Leona's fan base. And the difference between Leona's and Alexandra's situations is that Leona actually has a record deal so she has a platform to have a decent music career. Alexandra doesn't. |

I'm laughing a little at all the concern about Leona's career trajectory. All I can say is, just because things worked one way for one artiste does not mean it will apply for everyone. What matters at the end of the day is how much anyone works towards THEIR personal objectives - not their fans, but only what they desire. The future is always unwritten. Alexandra may appear 'over' today to some but a sensation tomorrow with just one song. Cheers.
