We could finally be looking to have a change at #1 in the singles chart this week! 'This Girl' by Kungs vs. Cookin' on 3 Burners is poised to stop Drake getting 10 weeks, but will it make it? Other new entries this week may come from The Stone Roses, Jonas Blue and Dua Lipa.

Over in the album chart, we have new releases from Tom Odell, Rick Astley and Paul McCartney, will any of them take the top spot?

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Oh this is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Rick Astley is keeping Tom Odell off the top of the album chart.

Astley, Macca, Garbage, Beverley Knight, ELO, Paul Simon, Motorhead, Beach Boys, Phil Collins (twice), Gilbert O'Sullivan, Van Morrison.

All of those have top 20 albums this week. How bad must modern A&R be that there isn't enough good new music to push them out?

Tom Odell must be underperforming then if he is being out-sold by Rick Astley

Rick Astley was always gonna have a strong start going by how the single performed on iTunes, although I can see Tom selling more consistently through the week.

I can't quite see Kungs making it this week, it would need a HUGE upturn in streams (which isn't out of the question actually) to overcome Drake. I think just one more week of Drake domination!

I disagree actually! Drake is below 0.4 on Kworb now so sales are decreasing hugely (plus streams are not what they were a few weeks ago), and Kungs' streams + sales are increasing, I think they should be able to manage it!

The fact that Rick Astley is top suggests Sales are low though which gives Coldplay a chance to return to the top.
Tom Odell was on "The Graham Norton Show" last night and will indeed probably pass Rick Astley ( with streaming as well ) but will surely struggle to make 20k this week.

I disagree as well, tongue.gif just looked at the sales topic, Kungs will probably overhaul Drake, while Drake's sales can only decrease surely he won't even manage 70k.

Has One Dance fallen off the cliff that much though? Haven't been keeping an eye on weekly trend in its figures but I had assumed that whilst its sales were indeed diminishing it was still rock solid on streams.

I'm all for This Girl to be the next #1 myself whenever it may be.

It's over 500k on streams which is still super impressive but not the 700k it was doing a few weeks ago!

I think it's very likely that Kungs will be #1 this week.

Going by current Digital Sales Data and Spotify figures, Kungs is selling 11k/day and Drake selling 8.5k/day.

Baddiel & Skinner top 20 combined - wouldn't be surprised to see them top 10 combined by tonight, the effect on this song has been a lot larger than usual this year!

In 2014 it peaked at #27. If England progress further it could chart higher. In 2012 it charted at #77. I think the effect is larger because it is the 20th anniversary since it was released.

Rick Astley at #1 surprises me. I expected it'd do well but I didn't think it'd make #1. I don't know what his sales will be like though, but there is a chance it'll be his biggest weekly sale yet. His last album that charted in the UK was in 1993 and it made #185. His first album made #10 and it seems to have surpassed that. I don't think it'll add on much in the way of streams so it'll rely largely on sales.

"Tears" by Clean Bandit should cross 100k sales this week, surpassing Louisa's winners single. The last time the first proper single from the X Factor winner outsold the winners single was Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love has sold about 1.2m while A Moment Like This has sold just over 900k.
