Like I said in the other thread, I'm very torn.

Think England will still win though, unfortunately for Iceland who've done very well to come second in their group in their first tournament outing.

Apparently just announced by Sam Matterface commentator for tonight's match between Italy and Rep of Ireland. The match will be live on ITV from 7pm.

I've changed it now. I was under the impression that England's last 16 match regardless would have been on the BBC. Pretty annoying to be honest.

That's normally been the case. ITV get two group matches and the BBC get first pick in the knock-outs. That means more of Clive Tyldesley's screeching sad.gif

As I said in the other thread, I think England will beat Iceland should get into the last eight.

lol. The way Clive Tyldesley says "just" always makes me laugh laugh.gif "jeeeeeuusssst" hahahaha. Impartial commentary definitely goes out the window when England play on ITV laugh.gif

Crying laughing at these two clips of his commentary laugh.gif

And who can overlook the fact that whenever somebody takes a shot outside of the area he feels the need to SCREAM THEIR NAME REALLY LOUD

ITV coverage is rubbish compared to the BBC, yes.

What's been irritating me is the way the English media are portraying this as a potential walkover. Iceland got where they did on merit, have an incredible defence and are very effective on the counter attack. Don't be surprised if they nick a 1-0 win in the dying minutes.

I know, it's crazy. I think Portugal would have been an easier game. Iceland are strong at set pieces and have no pressure on them whatsoever. England on the other hand, have everything to lose. I'm expecting a really difficult game unless we score early as Iceland will happily defend for 120 minutes if needed.

This is no walkover for England at all. I expect Iceland to give this a real go.

I'm not sure sticking ten men behind the ball really counts as having a "real go"... tongue.gif

I like the chant that the Iceland fans do where they clap their hands in unison and say "choo" or something that sounds like that.

That's true Iceland will probably have ten men defending in this.

It will be similar to the Slovakia game I think.

Can see this going to extra-time.

England to win 1-0 after some ultra defense work from Iceland.
