BJSC 87 Results
FM-84 - Arcade Summer This month we unexpectedly have a LOT of good news to bring home! At the BJSC 87 final last night in Pupok, it was announced that our entry 'Arcade Summer' by FM-84 finished in 9th place with 227 points! This was a complete shock as no-one had predicted us higher than 18th! This is now our fourth top 10 of 2016 and sixth top 10 overall. Though it was not a unique position as we previously came 9th with ONUKA's 'Time' in BJSC 75 (our first ever top 10 hit). Elsewhere, we set a couple of personal bests! It was revealed that we came 6th in semi 2 with 96 points, and this is our best ever semi finish in terms of both position and points! As our best previously was 7th and 86 points with BLVCK CEILING in BJSC 82 (though Last Lynx also came 7th in BJSC 74 but with 82 points). One other thing that we smashed was our number of 18s received! Our previous best was 3, and we received a grand total of 5 18s for this entry! The countries that awarded us with the top honour were: Cumulonimbia, Deandria, Ethanola, Suedeonia and Quintessa! So a big thank you to those and to Persephonia and Terra Avium who also gave us big medal scores of 13. This really was a huge surprise and a brilliant way to come back from our DNQ last month. Cor Lupus won the contest with 'Higher' by The Naked and Famous with a staggering 432 points! This big win was also cemented by them smashing the semi record - by receiving 186 points in semi 2. Elsewhere, our 18 points this time went to FSR Rontvia with the stunning 'Illumbarada' by Ortiga which finished in 5th place. Our 15 points were given to Persephonia with 'Water Frozen' by TWRR and this finished in 20th place. Our 13 went to Fljótavík with 'Fall On Me' by Kitten and this placed at 14th. So it was a brilliant night for ourselves and also for our ultimate favourites all finishing top 20. Thank you to the following for voting for us: Avalonia, FSR Rontvia, Usfland, Bhangra, Cadelicia, Persephonia, D'yermak’er, Deandria, Kylienips, Quintessa, Trifoski, Aeroche, Espen, Brechtoria, Aelandor, Ramrynia, N DNTN, Tartford, South Danaelanda, FKA FKA FKA Pi, Singerpurear, Ethanola, Suedeonia, Cumulonimbia, Terra Avium, Beaverdonia, Skall, Republic of Adonia & Desbuanda We shall see you all next month in Cor Lupus with a dance banger (featuring vocals this time)! VOTED 01) 137 Persephonia 02) 75 N DNTN 03) 69 Singerpurear 04) 64 #00274E 05) 57 Terra Avium 06) 52 Cumulonimbia 07) 52 Fljótavík 08) 50 FKA π 09) 48 Avalonia 10) 48 Quintessa RECEIVED 01) 124 Persephonia 02) 104 Terra Avium 03) 104 Quintessa 04) 77 Espen 05) 67 Cumulonimbia 06) 64 Ethanola 07) 62 Suedeonia 08) 59 Aeroche 09) 55 Deandria 10) 53 Kylienips |

Jadakissnia repping the instrumental top 10s again yass. (This was your first top 10 that I really didn't see coming at ALL, I absolutely loved it but it didn't really feel like it had much hype at all otherwise!)

Woop woop, glad to see instrumental appreciation *.* Proof of the demand for the spinoff tbh. You and me both (and well, everyone!!) - that really was the biggest surprise result I have ever got! Not one prediction higher than 18th and also pretty low in all the odds! Glad that you really loved it as I'd hoped with it being dreamwave. Now to hopefully wow you next month and get into your top 10 most pointed ;o (well, we'll see... x) *I send something you hate and you give 18 to Espen* *cough cough* Omg apologies edited you in now! |

BJSC 88
MssingNo - Scope BJSC 88 has arrived in fellow BJSC 74 debutant nation Cor Lupus! An unveiling of all entries took place last night and 'Scope' was announced as our own offering to this contest. This is our 15th entry to BJSC and our first ever British act to the competition! We have delved into the material of British acts more than any other for spinoffs, but it has taken us almost a year and a half to finally send one to the main contest. MssingNo is a wonderful British talent and this song caught my eye more than anything due to the stellar production. The looped vocals are pretty chirpy but the production helps to give it a bit of a darker edge. The vocal part throughout is very catchy and meant that it was a love at first listen earworm. It continued to stick with us for a few months and now is the time to unleash it to the rest of you. King Bellsprout is thrilled to have fellow Pokémon MssingNo in the contest and urges all semi 1 voters to vote for Jadakissnia this month, and help us rebuild our Q streak up to 2. We hope you enjoy this dance banger! |

This was a Danaelandan top 50 hit a few months ago so I'm definitely on board. Glad to hear that you're a fan Dan, cheers for the hype! *.* One of my favourite dance discoveries this year. (I have listened to 'True' in full once so I will have heard your entry before, but I haven't heard it in agggges so looking forward to listening to that again. 'True' was pretty strong on the whole from what I remember! I think 'Liar Liar' is my favourite non-single on the album, that one still comes up a lot on shuffle~) |

MssingNo NOT missing from the final!
Today it was announced in Cor Lupus that we are through to the grand final of BJSC 88 with 'Scope' by MssingNo! This builds our current streak up to 2 so we're taking baby steps back up the qualifying streak list. We have now had 12 qualifiers out of a possible 15 since signing up. While we were safe, three of the songs that we voted for didn't quite make the cut from semi 1. Espen were our main loss, they received 6 points from us with Cosima's 'Had To Feel Something' - a big grower from the initial listen. This bowed out in 30th with 29 points. Next up was no stranger to our votes, Quintessa. Their subtle beauty 'All That Matters' by Hannah Peel was our 3 pointer and ultimately finished in 22nd with 47 points. So close! Finally, we voted for Thelonia for the first time ever with 'Higher' by Jauz x Netsky. This dance jam received 2 points from us and ended up just behind Quintessa in 23rd with 39 points. Thanks to everyone who voted for us in the semi! We shall see you all in the final. Other updates: - It was revealed that we ranked 37th in the BJSC world for our country name in the country name rate. Top 40 wooooo - Whispers suggest that Jadakissnia have a couple of ideas for some talked about upcoming spinoffs. Said rumours are that we will dip into Finnish dance for the instrumental spinoff and that we will go Icelandic for the first time in the impending country spinoff. Watch this space! |

BJSC 88 Results
MssingNo - Scope Results of the latest BuzzJack Song Contest were presented to us last night in Cor Lupus. It turned out to be an extremely good night for Jadakissnia! While we didn't quite live up to being top 2 in 100% of the odds, we did end up coming 3rd with 323 points. This makes MssingNo's 'Scope' our most successful entry to date in a BJSC main contest! Our previous best was 6th place (and 262 points) with BLVCK CEILING - 'WVFFLIFE (CHVRN Remix)' achieved earlier in the year, so we have smashed this to not only get a first top 5 but a first top 3! We can now be added on to that list of medal recipients in the stats, woop woop. The semi results were also revealed last night and it turned out that we actually WON our semi!! With a huge 165 points we even pipped the eventual champion of this contest to the semi win. Our previous semi best was 6th last month with 'Arcade Summer' so we've gone and smashed that the following month! This was a very pleasing contest for Jadakissnia; 'Scope' is now our 5th top 10 this year (7th overall) and the second time we've achieved back-to-back top 10s this year. We didn't quite manage to beat the 5 18s we received last month but did still get quite a handful of medal positions. We received 18s from Aeroche, Brechtoria and Medhelnia, 15s from Ethanola and Usfland and 13s from Botanikka, D'yermak'er, Persephonia and Séyetana! The contest was won by our rival in the odds 'Shhh' by Raye, sent by N DNTN. They crushed the competition by winning with a massive 394 points. We were pleased to have been beaten by this song as we did award it 11 points, so a huge congratulations to N DNTN! Elsewhere, we demand further justice for our absolute favourite this month. Our 18 went to Persephonia's spooky witch house / trap instrumental 'Thelema' by Řfdream and this finished in 31st with 138 points. Things were looking bleak for it throughout until it did a CROSSPARTY in Reinvention and won over the hearts of the much later voters. But this is still way too good to have missed the top 30 tbh! On the other hand, our 15 was Trifoski's thrilling French offering 'Sphynx' by La Femme and this actually finished a lot better than we expected it to - 14th with 202 points, so this was most pleasing. Our 13 was awarded to Tinnmark (the first time we have ever voted for this country!) with their gorgeous dark folk offering 'Odal' by Wardruna, and this finished in 16th with 188 points. Thanks everyone for making this Jadakissnia's most successful BJSC ever! A big cheers to all of these who voted for us: Cor Lupus, Pupok, Unovia, Avalonia, Persephonia, Flynnonda, Deandria, Danaelanda, Kylienips, Séyetana, Dobago, Terra Avium, Botanikka, #00274E, Land of DW, Aeroche, Fljótavík, D’yermak’er, Cadelicia, Kingdom Of Horanius, Usfland, Medhelnia, Singerpurear, N DNTN, Brechtoria, Trifoski, Peoples Independent State of Slutland, Jukianië, Syndare, Cumulonimbia, Espen, Ethanola, Republic of Adonia, Skall & BuzzJack Mountain See you all soon in Persephonia for the instrumentals spinoff! VOTED 01) 155 Persephonia 02) 86 N DNTN 03) 71 Singerpurear 04) 67 Terra Avium 05) 64 #00274E 06) 58 Trifoski 07) 55 Slutland, Peoples Independent State of 08) 52 Cumulonimbia 09) 52 Fljótavík 10) 48 Avalonia RECEIVED 01) 137 Persephonia 02) 114 Terra Avium 03) 104 Quintessa 04) 81 Espen 05) 79 Ethanola 06) 77 Aeroche 07) 76 Cumulonimbia 08) 65 Séyetana 09) 62 Suedeonia 10) 61 Deandria |

CongratuLATIONS on your new peak!!! 'Scope' is such a darkly infectious and slightly intriguing piece of music, I was actually expecting to give it way more points than I did (6), based on the tiny bit of it that I listened to during the reveal show, but it was a strong final as others have said (I feel like it was way stronger than the last one? Obviously you received my 18 that time, SUCH a TUNE!), and when I did my full listenings of all the songs, that was just the spot that it ended up in.
I see Deandria has dropped a place in your 'points received' thing dammit Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I was at #9 at some point. Anyway, still nice to be in someone's top 10. I notice we also shared a 15 pointer, I saw you mention the gloriousness of those synths in Trifoski's track *.* I agree, so so good! |

Thank you so much Mattias *.* it feels wonderful to have finally received a medal position. I guess 15 contests wasn't TOO long a wait before one but it was a bit frustrating that all my top 10s were low top 10 after a couple of them had been topping the odds. So woop woop *.* I'm glad that you liked 'Scope' so much, the hype very early on from you when my entry was revealed was pretty exciting! 'Darkly infectious' is a good way of describing it, those vocals are so catchy but the dark edge with the production helped to really cement it as a strong piece of music. Don't worry I totally get the strong final thing, I looked at my votes and felt like loads of the songs were deserving of way more than they actually got! It was a stronger final than the last one for me also, my second strongest of the year after BJSC 81. Thanks for the 6 points this month and of course THAT 18 last month, that growing power *.* Haha yes indeed you have, lots of my usual fans coming out to support this in a big way I guess! You are correct in thinking that you were 9th at one point - that would be last month following that 18, haha! Oh yes *.* The synths were just everything in the Trifoski song |
