Afternoon all! As always, NO SPOILERS please!

Really excited for Sia and Ariana to hopefully go top 10 today, and I'm praying Gaga has made it but I'm thinking more #12-13 for her.

Afternoon all hi.gif Mainly curious today to see where Lady GaGa has ended up!

As for the retros, great number 1 this time last year! I think 'Sorry' has overtaken 'What Do You Mean?' as my favourite from the era now but both are very strong. The number 1 10 years ago was also magnificent heart.gif I miss the days of the charts featuring Scissor Sisters!

I can't believe it's coming up to 5 years since We Found Love. ohmy.gif

OT: Hopefully Ariana bags her first top 10 from DW this week. I'm guessing GaGa will be between #13 and #16 today.

Biography

Kings of Leon is an American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000. The band is composed of brothers Caleb Followill (b. January 14, 1982, lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Nathan Followill (b. June 26, 1979, drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Jared Followill (b. November 20, 1986, bass guitar, backing vocals), with their cousin Matthew Followill (b. September 10, 1984, lead guitar, backing vocals).

The band's early music was a blend of Southern rock and blues influences, but it has gradually expanded throughout the years to include a variety of genres and a more alternative, arena rock sound. Kings of Leon achieved initial success in the United Kingdom with nine Top 40 singles, two BRIT Awards in 2008, and all three of the band's albums at the time peaked in the top five of the UK Albums Chart. Their third album, Because of the Times, also reached the number one spot. After the release of Only by the Night in September 2008 the band achieved chart success in the United States. The singles "Sex on Fire", "Use Somebody", and "Notion" all peaked at number one on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album was their first Platinum-selling album in the United States, and was also the best-selling album of 2008 in Australia, being certified platinum nine times. The band's fifth album, Come Around Sundown, was released on October 18, 2010. Their sixth album, Mechanical Bull, was released on September 24, 2013. A seventh studio album, WALLS, is set to be released October 14, 2016. The group has 7 Grammy Award nominations, including 3 wins.

Biography

Busted are an English pop rock band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band had four UK number-one singles, released two studio albums, Busted (2002) and A Present for Everyone (2003), one compilation album and one live album before breaking up in January 2005 following Simpson's decision to pursue a career fronting post-hardcore band Fightstar. They have also won two Brit Awards and won The Record of the Year in 2004 with their single "Thunderbirds", amongst other awards. Busted have sold over 5 million albums worldwide.

In November 2013, Willis and Bourne announced plans to tour together with McFly as the supergroup McBusted in 2014, and this continued into 2015. On 10 November 2015, it was revealed that Simpson had rejoined Busted after successful secret writing sessions. The band also announced they would embark on a UK and Ireland arena tour in 2016.

On 3 May 2016, Busted released their first new song in 12 years, "Coming Home", as a free download.

So it seems James Arthur is not a national paria anymore over there in the UK.

He has been performing all over Continental Europe all these years and even released some new tracks in a few European countries to some moderate success, in those years after the racial slurs scandal.

How has his UK comeback been perceived?

Can't quite believe it's been 15 years since my favourite song ever was released, the Rob Searle remix of Set You Free, taking the legendary song unexpectedly back to the top five there in 2001. An incredible track and remix <3
