In the singles chart, it looks like a two way battle between Clean Bandit's current #1 'Rockabye' and the fast climbing viral sensation 'Black Beatles' from Rae Sremmurd. A new entry will most likely come from Sean Paul and Dua Lipa's collaboration. Other potential entries come from The Weeknd's two new singles and Craig David's official single for BBC Children In Need. In terms of albums, we have 3 sales forces battling for the #1. Firstly Bruno Mars, who's previous album sold by the bucketload. There's also Metallica, who have proven time and time again to have a huge fanbase. Last but not least is Little Mix, who have become a force to reckon with in the UK, could they secure their first #1 album with their 4th album Glory Days? Breakdown of the week - Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted. - Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm. - Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one. - Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed. - Thursday: See Tuesday. Other notes (please read) - You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod). - Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue. - Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. - To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads. |

Minty has Little Mix at #1 with a 25% lead over Metallica. Says it's selling "faster than Olly", which I would have expected anyway, so isn't a great indication of sales.

I wonder if they'll overtake David Bowie for fastest selling album of 2016 so far? I don't think so, but it'll be the second highest of the year, I think. The fact Minty simply said "It was selling faster than Olly" and not significantly, makes me think it's not as big a sales #1 as people were expecting, as Olly sold almost what Get Weird did last year and we were expecting a big increase on that. |

Yeah... we have to do the first few posts unfortunately to get the topic started and make it nice and pretty and presentable with an intro, and we have all the daily updates on the first page, so members don't have to troll through a 20 page topic to find them. its a necessity, plus its in our job description. Everybody should know the drill by now, plus having two FCP threads will just clash and makes it more difficult for members/ guests to view the topic, the rogue topic has been removed.
Anyho back on the mids, I still think Metallica could cause an upset, its too early to tell without any official info at hand, have to wait till Monday for further official info. |

In general, not just aimed at BigMixer, because this seems to be an ongoing trend this week...But though we're always open to mistakes and misspellings being politely pointed out, a lot of work goes into getting all these threads up and running each week. Seeing as lots of you enjoy posting and getting involved in discussion, it's a bit rude to complain about trivial things when we're doing what we're doing for everyone here.

I think Metallica will be a lot more frontloaded than Little Mix and Bruno mars for that matter, Could be wrong of course just my opinion, I think Little Mix might actually hold on.

Some info from Minty:
Someone asked if Little Mix had done over 25k, and he said yes. Though it's not clear how much more. Could be 15k more, could be 2k more. Bruno is miles behind apparently. |

So Bruno's got no chance if he's miles behind then, Out of Metallica & Little Mix, Looking forward to seeing some official figures on Monday I think we will have a better idea if Little Mix will hold on or not by then.
