V2 :

YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier.

1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for.
2. I log sales for all singles/albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range.
3. If a song/album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 songs too often - once a month at most)
4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks.
5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split.
6. My singles estimates are based on the weekly totals,which are calculated on the 150-1 streaming ratio - they will therefore be lower than the official totals based on 100-1. Albums are unaffected though.
7. I keep a log of old sales totals from MW and elsewhere. Please PM me if you want to see it, or to report any errors you spot.

Stormzy - Big for your boots. BPI music has stated it's gone SILVER. Isn't that 200,000 so shouldn't it be in Top 20 Singles as the song was released 2017.

Re Stormzy, this is probably the first tangible example of what my note 6 covers. smile.gif

The sum of his individual weeks sales is 145k, which puts him 23rd on my estimated list. But even if his streams converted at 100-1 do take his BPI total over 200k, don't forget that other songs will have a similar proportionate increase, so he would gain very little in positional terms.

It's a shame The Weeknd I Feel It Coming isn't a bigger hit. Had the song been around before the internet it might have been a big number one hit. One of my fave songs of 2017.
