Qualification streak update (underlined countries have matched or extended their longest ever Q streak):
11 Unovia * ~ 7 Aeroche 7 Bøtanikkä 7 Cor Lupus 7 Harmonica ~ 6 #00274E 6 (République d')Ashton 6 (South) Danaelanda 6 Trifoski ~ 5 Taahino ~ 4 Altyr Muunilinst 4 Espen 4 Ultraviolenceland ~ 3 Beaverdonia 3 (The Actual Republic of) Bellamia 3 Ramrynia 3 St. Burbia ~ 2 Avalonia * 2 Dobago 2 Flynnonda 2 Hushkanukia 2 Oslol 2 Sandebörg * ~ 1 Aelandor 1 Azure 1 Bignia-Zaragovina 1 Buzzjack Mountain 1 Cadelicia 1 Deandria 1 Desbuanda 1 FARC 1 Fljótavík 1 FSR Rontvia 1 Jadakissnia 1 Kluminican Republic 1 Land of DW 1 New Lexico 1 Suedeonia * 1 Summericia 1 Tinnmark 1 Usfland DEAD * more consecutive entries have qualified (12 for Unovia, 4 for Avalonia, 3 for Sandebörg, 2 for Suedeonia) but these streaks were broken by breaks from the contest Me crashing out and Republic of Adonia being banned means Unovia now have an even more comfortable lead going into their 11th straight final. 2nd place is now a four-way tie with Aeroche having worked their way back up there, alongside the continuing change of fortunes for Harmonica, Cor Lupus one off matching their opening streak and Bøtanikkä also maintaining their run. Unovia and Harmonica further extend their existing record streaks, St. Burbia have made it to their personal best of 3 in a row again (previously doing this in BJSCs 80-82) and Flynnonda have got a second qualifier in the row for the first time ever. Aelandor, Azure, Buzzjack Mountain and Suedeonia have not yet managed this so their qualifications this time match their record Q 'streak' (although should note that Suedeonia's last 2 entries both qualified, just separated by a 3 contest absence). |

Still got a way to go to match my personal best of ten! I don't think I have it in me tbh but who knows.

12 Q
10 Q 08 Q 07 Q 06 Q 05 Bhangra :: Hedia (feat. Kristen Marie) ~ Your Mind 04 Q 03 Daehun :: Sunmi ~ 24 Hours 02 Q 01 Zanmatony :: Schwarz ~ Home Slightly disappointed to DNQ but I always new it was a risk sending it. It seems to have had a similar reception to Magnetic Nights so hopefully it can do well in Rejects! Thanks to everyone that voted Also DAN I gave Daehun 3 points in the semi but you didn't have me down when you revealed they DNQD |

Kind of glad Zanmatony failed to qualify on this occasion. I'm hoping for a better choice of song to submit next time.
Zanmatony votes have all qualified this month; 12. Q 10. Q 8. Q 7. Q 6. Q 5. Q 4. Q 3. Q 2. Q 1. Q This post has been edited by awardinary™: 19th March 2017, 09:19 PM |

Over the moon to see Azure through their best entry to the contest so far by a country mile. A bit of a shame to see Terra Avium out though It got the most woots on plug I believe, so another example of why you should not trust ha x I was expecting a result like this anyway, but the plug stats (and me not being there to see them) misled me that something unexpected may be coming :'( Must remind myself to not take them as granted like the odds next month. A shame obvs, but not an entirely unexpected result and as much as I like it, I can't say I'm as invested in this as my other recent entries. I didn't expect this to appeal to countries like Unovia and South Danaelanda though so that's quite a nice consolation. My participation this month is a BIT half arsed due to real life busyness so probably for the best I'm not a part of the final this month (pressure though, I've already matched my total number of DNQs I got last year and it's only the third contest of the year :x), I do have a total BANGER lined up for 94 tho so dw~ Not the best result in terms of my own votes either: 10; Persephonia :: Achillea ~ Ragnarok - Twilight Of The Gods 07; Tartford :: Hyper Go Go ~ High 05; Séyetana :: Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas ~ Let Me Hear 02; Quintessa :: Woolf And The Wondershow ~ Cages Awww poor Bre, I mean it could've been a bit better based on that title, but still a wonderful meditative experience. Tartford was quite the banger that I thought would've got more support and Seyetana's complete craziness and lack of any sort of cohesion at all was very endearing (at least I tried to keep #seyeterraphonia alive this month ), Cages wasn't quite as good as Cloaked, but still another great song from a rather wonderfully unique band. In general, booo, but thrilled to see Fljotavik and Land of DW through against the odds at least. This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: 19th March 2017, 10:15 PM |

Also noticed that the only country that had a 100% Q streak at the time of both S DNLD contests that didn't lose it was Dobago and it was because they didn't enter last February!
starting to think that there is a S DNLD curse after all |

BHANGRA DISASTER. Did not expect to flop that hard at all when confirming, but kind of expected to this week given the muted response 'Your Mind' received. Back to the drawing board for now!

Oh, don't worry, I've already exceeded my DNQs from last year. Bangers for 94 here we come though. I've matched my 1 DNQ from last year and think I might be about to exceed it quite dramatically based on my current list of potentials. A new era of Persephonian floppage is pretty overdue so it might be about time to go even more leftfield. (that said my next entry - once I've decided between two songs by this act - is also a banger and I think it has an ok chance of qualifying compared to my other few top potentials. Hope everyone is ready for some more Icelandic hip-hop *.*) |

Thanks for hosting Dan, love the list of pointing countries for the DNQ's, would be great for that to be regular!
Plus side Suedonia are through, classic! Needs to win! Downisde, my 12-pointer is out and so is Peter Schilling, doh! ah well, on the plus side I'm nearly half-way through another record-breaking run of DNQ's Maybe I'm going next for something SO gorgeous anyone not voting for it will need to feel sheepish..... |

Thanks for hosting Dan, love the list of pointing countries for the DNQ's, would be great for that to be regular! You're only at four though?Plus side Suedonia are through, classic! Needs to win! As far as the DNQ streak line is going: 5 | Tartford 4 | Singerpurear 3 | Séyetana 3 | Skall 2 | Medhelnia 1 | -π 1 | Aesthetica 1 | Bhangra 1 | D'yermak'er 1 | Daehun 1 | Hendinia 1 | Kylienips 1 | Mulgracia 1 | Niceland 1 | Persephonia 1 | Pupok 1 | Quintessa 1 | Terra Avium 1 | Yehesi 1 | Zanmatony Fun Fact: This is the first time we've had a trajectory of 2nd-DNQ since BJSC 70. |
