and figures are not striking (just above 500K) cos it was Sunday, which is the slowest day of the week for streams
should increase today  I even got an email just now from Spotify telling me that Drake's playlist is on there  thanks a lot but yeps, it's beyond ridiculous, imagine if the top 40 come Friday has 22 Drake songs + 16 from Ed

 OCC has to do something about it or else music labels are going to have a problem with it.Other brand new music releases are going to suffer badly. |

I'm now beginning to lose interest in the charts, with all these album tracks filtering the singles chart by Ed Sheeran and now Drake, the music labels need to get on the act.

How hard is it for the OCC to just exclude streams from those who are obviously listening to the album as a whole (or most of it) rather than picking those tracks to individually listen to? Of all the ways the chart could be 'fixed', this seems like the most logical one to me, it's not excluding album tracks...if people are genuinely accessing them actively to listen to as a standalone song then great, they should be counted, if not then their impact belongs in the album chart. I wouldn't have a problem with someone dominating the chart's if it was someone I actually liked, Drake's not my cup of tea, and Ed Sheeran is just dull. I'd be quite happy if the 17 tracks on the new Conor Oberst album were all in the spotify top 50

I actually hope Drake does get most of these shitty songs in the top 40, if it forces OCC to change the rules, which they seem reluctant to do.
