Luis Fonzi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber's ... looks set to remain at #1 after breaking the 100k chart sales barrier last week. Rita Ora's comeback 'Your Song' and Little Mix's 'Power' - now complete with a Stormzy verse - will be hoping to join the Top 10, whilst other new entries may include Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan's 'There For You', Captain Ska's 'Liar Liar Ge2017' and Halsey's 'Strangers'.

Ed Sheeran's Divide returned to #1 last week, however The Beatles' 50th anniversary edition of the iconic 60s album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - released in various formats and versions, including a £110 boxset - could prove to be stiff competition. New entries may include Bryson Tiller's True to Self, The Charlatans' Different Days, Elkie Brooks' Pearls: The Very Best of..., Shakira's Spanish album El Dorado and The Amazon's self-titled debut.

Out of interest when it is a Bank holiday is a midweek chart compiled? I'm curious to know since the OCC and Music Week never actually publish one on their websites on the Monday with the OCC only giving scant information on a Tuesday morning which makes me wonder whether that is the Tuesday midweeks as if I recall the midweeks are usually available from something like 8am on a morning.

I don't believe so! I think they add two days worth of data into the Tuesday midweeks. Can't say for certain but using the figures we've seen before, it seems likely to me.

thanks. There's definitely none at Music Week today. As usual for a Bank Holiday Monday they have just reprinted the top 40 midweeks from last Monday while the OCC website is still showing last Monday's update.

The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's set to return to Number 1 for first time in 49 years
The 50th anniversary reissue is still captivating fans half a century later on today's Official Chart Update.

By Jack White

The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was last Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart some 49 years ago, but it could return to the top spot this week. The classic album, which spent 27 weeks at Number 1 in 1967 and 1968, was last Number 1 in March 1968; 49 years on, the album's 50th anniversary edition, which features remastered and remixed material in addition to unreleased session tapes, could return to the chart's summit.
The LP, which is the best-selling studio album in UK chart history, has shifted a further 24,000 combined chart sales as of today's midweek sales flash, and has a considerable lead over Ed Sheeran's ÷, which looks to slip from the top spot it held last week.

Rounding out the Top 5 at the halfway mark are Rag'n'Bone Man's Human at Number 3, The Charlatans' Different Days - which will be their 10th Top 10 album should it hold on - at Number 4, and Harry Styles' self-titled former chart topper at 5.

I hope OLT being #3 suggests it will hold onto the top 10 officially.

And surely Captain Ska is going to remain top 10 if it's #7 already (how?? there's barely any streams) and is now #1 on iTunes...?

Very good iTunes sales. It's sold nearly 20k already and 99% of that is from download sales.
