I thought it would be an interesting idea to track all the top 40 entries that will be effected by the new 300:1 ratio after a certain point when it comes into force, so when a chart comes out I'll post out all the entries that have been effected and also include entries that qualify for the following week.
July 7th 2017 11 - 23 Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You 13 - 20 Ariana Grande - One Last Time 14 - 22 Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back 17 - 27 Clean Bandit feat Zara Larsson - Symphony 23 - 35 J Hus - Did You See 25 - 34 Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl 27 - 36 The Chainsmokers and Coldplay - Something Just Like This 29 - 38 Disciples - On My Mind 30 - 44 Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill 33 - 52 Future - Mask Off 38 - 60 Martin Solveig feat Ida Wroldsen - Places 39 - 53 Rag 'n' Bone Man - Skin 40 - 61 Kendrick Lemar - Humble July 14th 2017 15 - 25 Niall Horan - Slow Hands July 21st 2017 01 - 02 Luis Fonsi feat Justin Bieber and Daddy Yankee - Despacito 13 - 22 Charlie Puth - Attention 17 - 39 Jason Derulo - Swalla 31 - 55 Cheat Codes feat Demi Lovato - No Promises 32 - 54 Martin Jensen - Solo Dance This post has been edited by zenon: Jul 24 2017, 08:48 PM |

Would "Despacito" qualify for 300:1 streaming ratio too? Hope it does so "Wild Thoughts" has got a chance of climbing to No 1 next week.

well if it increases its sales count then it's clearly popular enough to stay at #1.

I've added Shape Of You to the potential list as according to the Friday Chart Predictions thread it's sales went down last week despite climbing a few places and would also be its third successive week of sinking sales.
Feel free to correct me if I've missed any other potential 300:1 entrants or included any by mistake. This post has been edited by zenon: Jul 3 2017, 08:41 PM |

Here are this week's entries that will qualify for 300:1 next week unless they gain a 50% sales increase. 11) Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You 14) Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back 15) Charlie Puth - Attention 17) Clean Bandit feat Zara Larsson - Symphony 20) Jason Derulo - Swalla 23) J Hus - Did You See 27) The Chainsmokers and Coldplay - Something Just Like This 29) Disciples - On My Mind 32) Cheat Codes feat Demi Lovato - No Promises 33) Future - Mask Off 35) Martin Jensen - Solo Dance 37) Bruno Mars - That's What I Like 40) Kendrick Lemar - Humble I've checked my spreadsheets, and I calculate that the following will be affected next week, assuming their sales don't rise : Shawn Mendez Ed - GG Chainsmokers & CP Future Bruno Mars |

Looking at the midweeks, these songs have been affected:
There's Nothing Holding Me Back Shape of You Symphony Galway Girl Something Just Like This On My Mind Did You See Castle on the Hill (possibly, could just be a naturally large fall) Skin Mask Off Places |

Looking at the midweeks, these songs have been affected: 'Castle On The Hill' recorded a sales increase last week (sales to Thursday 29/06) so unless there's backdating of the rules (which I'm convinced there isn't beyond the previous two weeks) then the record shouldn't be hit by ACR this week... it was the only track with 10+ weeks that was inside the top 40 last Friday to record a sales increase. It shouldn't be affected by ACR next week (sales to Thursday 13/07) either as it will only be week 2 of a sales decline (assuming it declines this week, which seems likely). There's Nothing Holding Me Back Shape of You Symphony Galway Girl Something Just Like This On My Mind Did You See Castle on the Hill (possibly, could just be a naturally large fall) Skin Mask Off Places Other long running records to record a sales increase inside the top 75 last week include 'Mr Brightside', 'Rockabye', 'Perfect' and 'What Do I Know'. The last two, both Ed Sheeran tracks, should disappear on Friday under the "three tracks" rule. The first two should have at least another week in the top 100, assuming either sell enough, after the chart published on Friday. This post has been edited by Robbie: Jul 4 2017, 05:04 PM |

Are you only doing records in the top 40, or were there just not any casualties outside the top 40?

Oh yeah you said in the first post, soz! Did you manage to work out how many weeks of decline these had? I make it that they were all on at least 4 last week, but it's difficult to tell
