Sorry I didn't get round to responding to everyone's comments last week, been a really manic few days, I'll reply to them briefly now:
Heya Mango, here are my favourites songs of the week! arrow up.gif 3 (5) Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don - Instruction (4 wks / HCP 3) [25-11-5-3] This has grown on me a lot this week! I love Demi's new single too, that one is fab! arrow down.gif 6 (2) Danny L Harle - 1UL (8 wks / HCP 1) [7-1-1-1-1-1-2-6] Yassss! This rocks! arrow down.gif 11 (7) Little Mix feat. Stormzy - Power (7 wks / HCP 3) [19-4-3-4-4-7-11] arrow up.gif 12 (16) Sigala feat. Ella Eyre - Came Here For Love (4 wks / HCP 12) [34-23-16-12] arrow up.gif 15 (28) Rudimental feat. James Arthur - Sun Comes Up (2 wks / HCP 15) [28-15] *** HIGHEST CLIMBER *** arrow up.gif 16 (19) DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts (4 wks / HCP 16) [35-25-19-16] arrow down.gif 18 (13) Rita Ora - Your Song (7 wks / HCP 5) [24-11-6-5-6-13-18] ne.gif 19 (-) Kesha - Praying (1 wks / HCP 19) [19] Great new entry, I love this song! arrow down.gif 28 (17) Jonas Blue feat. William Singe - Mama (9 wks / HCP 13) [31-21-16-16-15-16-13-17-28] arrow down.gif 33 (21) Liam Payne feat. Quavo - Strip That Down (8 wks / HCP 8) [27-14-10-9-8-12-21-33] arrow down.gif 35 (26) Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber - Despacito (10 wks / HCP 3) [22-9-3-3-3-4-7-16-26-35] *** =LONGEST RUNNER *** I'm still in love with this track, it has won over the natiom arrow down.gif 39 (27) Miley Cyrus - Malibu (9 wks / HCP 8) [28-20-11-9-8-10-18-27-39] Thanks Tombo, I'm loving Instruction too and Despacito still sounds pretty good! Hi! Wow at Feels Great to see Instruction so high too! New Rules and Just For One Night are both amazing new entries Great Chart! Thanks BridgeCow Hi Mango First ever top 2 for Calvin with one of his worst songs? A very bold change in sound for Kesha but it seems to have exceeded expectations all round! It's quite a decent ballad I'm warming to the Zedd song but I don't think it'll overtake Stay for me The new Dua track is pretty good! And a surprise post-album hit beckons Just noticed Not3s in your chart, that's a decent track I'm getting into atm Good chart Hey Dobbo! Re: Calvin, that's just a matter of opinion Agreed about Kesha and Dua Lipa, and I'm really enjoying the Zedd song already! Thanks Hi Mango Some good newies here although the top two are probably my least favourites Praying is rather lovely thoughh to be honest but I'd just rather a trashy pop banger from Kesha as stuff like Tik Tok and We R Who We R are some of my favourite pop singles in recent years. I do like how it's clearly an important song for her though and you can hear the emotion in her voice. Get Low is alright too but nothing special really, just like a dancier version of Strip That Down almost but I'd just rather listen to that tbh. I far prefer the solo music that Zayn and Harry have put out so far though.. Pillow Talk remains my favourite solo 1D single. New Rules just seems to have blown up out of nowhere but it's great to see, the video is so clever and inventive and the song is just a banger. I still don't think I could sit through her album though, seems a bit long and boring :/// Everything Everything do it again!! Can't Do is yet another great single from them and has definitely done the job of getting me hyped for the upcoming album. Could challenge Regret for their best ever single for me perhaps ! That Blonde track took a little while to grow but I'm enjoying it lots at the moment, it is very catchy. A shame it propably won't catch on and be a hit because that sort of dance doesn't seem to be in fashion that much at the moment. I still vastly prefer I Loved You and All Cried Out though!! Great stuff as always Hey Josh! Kesha's trash pop is great but this is suprisingly good too! Agreed about Pillowtalk but I am very much enjoying Get Low. Dua's album IS long and boring lol. S/S/W/D is Everything Everything's best for me but this new one is great. And agreed about Blonde! Thanks and sorry for the short reply. Hi Mango, Liam dropping hard Zara Nice to see Niall being the longest runner despite the big fall The Killers Good N.1, next Instruction Thanks for commening, and yay go Niall! Hi Mango, Great to see Carly and Calvin top 2 Great top 5 actually to be honest Great to see Matrix and Futurebound top 10 and also Declan and George Ezra! Great to see Kesha highest climber New Zedd is very groovy New Rules is amazing could be like her second or third best for me Can't Do is yet another good Everything Everything song Blonde is okay too! Great Chart Thanis Harry, glad you're liking all those! What's up Mango!! 1 (1) Carly Rae Jepsen - Cut To The Feeling (6 wks / HCP 1) [24-5-2-2-1-1] How many #1s does this make for Carly? I'm guessing 4 or 5. 2 (3) Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean - Feels (4 wks / HCP 2) [27-14-3-2] 1st ever top 2 hit, well that's a chart shock if I've ever seen one! Not that he's ever had one on mine either but he would have in the 18 Months era. 3 (5) Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don - Instruction (4 wks / HCP 3) [25-11-5-3] 4 (4) Liam Gallagher - Wall Of Glass (6 wks / HCP 4) [25-13-9-7-4-4] 6 (2) Danny L Harle - 1UL (8 wks / HCP 1) [7-1-1-1-1-1-2-6] 7 (15) Matrix & Futurebound feat. Calum Scott - Light Us Up (3 wks / HCP 7) [27-15-7] 11 (7) Little Mix feat. Stormzy - Power (7 wks / HCP 3) [19-4-3-4-4-7-11] 12 (16) Sigala feat. Ella Eyre - Came Here For Love (4 wks / HCP 12) [34-23-16-12] 13 (20) The Killers - The Man (3 wks / HCP 13) [32-20-13] 14 (22) Bruno Mars vs David Guetta - Versace On The Floor (3 wks / HCP 14) [33-22-14] 15 (28) Rudimental feat. James Arthur - Sun Comes Up (2 wks / HCP 15) [28-15] 16 (19) DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts (4 wks / HCP 16) [35-25-19-16] 17 (8) Camila Cabello - Crying In The Club (8 wks / HCP 3) [32-21-14-10-6-3-8-17] 18 (13) Rita Ora - Your Song (7 wks / HCP 5) [24-11-6-5-6-13-18] 19 (-) Kesha - Praying (1 wks / HCP 19) [19] Liking this more than I thought I would, I haven't heard her other ballads but she pulls this off rather nicely! 20 (30) Arcade Fire - Everything Now (2 wks / HCP 20) [30-20] 21 (11) Niall Horan - Slow Hands (10 wks / HCP 2) [24-10-4-2-2-2-3-5-11-21] 23 (10) Lorde - Perfect Places (6 wks / HCP 8) [30-19-11-8-10-23] 24 (-) Zedd feat. Liam Payne - Get Low (1 wks / HCP 24) [24] I've only listened once but was very impressed, hope it's another big hit for them both 28 (17) Jonas Blue feat. William Singe - Mama (9 wks / HCP 13) [31-21-16-16-15-16-13-17-28] 33 (21) Liam Payne feat. Quavo - Strip That Down (8 wks / HCP 8) [27-14-10-9-8-12-21-33] 34 (29) Artists For Grenfell - Bridge Over Troubled Water (3 wks / HCP 29) [35-29-34] 37 (24) ALMA - Chasing Highs (5 wks / HCP 24) [32-26-24-24-37] I'm quite glad to see how well this is doing, it's nothing groundbreaking but just different enough to stand out! 39 (27) Miley Cyrus - Malibu (9 wks / HCP 8) [28-20-11-9-8-10-18-27-39] 40 (31) Fifth Harmony feat. Gucci Mane - Down (5 wks / HCP 31) [36-36-34-31-40] Major disappointment! Great chart! Hey Jordan! 1 - In fact this is only Carly's 3rd #1, and that total includes Super Natural. All 3 singles from Emotion peaked at #2 2 - Even to me it's a chart shock 19 - Has she even done any other ballads?! 24 - Yep, fingers crossed! 40 - Isn't it just? Thank you |

Hey Mango!
Good to see Liam Gallagher still riding high in your top 5 Rain isn't actually that bad I think, not exactly a masterpiece but I quite like hearing it on the radio! A very late show for Pretty Girl here then, it wasn't far off charting for me too recently but just fell short. It's generic as hell but I do enjoy it Real Life is decent but I think I'm just not as into that sound as a few years back. Would love a big Duke Dumont return as his first few singles with the exception of I Got U were all amazing Nice chart! |

Hi Mango,
Glad to see Kesha top 5 allready Rudimental and The Killers top 10 too is very good I actually really like Rain at the moment very on trend I know but very good too! I am not sure still how I feel about that Pretty Girl remix a part of it is really jarring for me so I am not sure if I can get past it Rockin YES jam Real Life is one of the best dance songs at the moment in my opinion I Dare You is a good choice of single from The XX Sorry Not Sorry is a grower to be honest Great Chart |

Hi Mango
Not usually a fan of The Script as such but Rain is pretty catchy, it's not something I'm going to fall in love with at all but I definitely won't skip it if it's on the radio. Way better than some of their previous more soppy singles Maggie Lindemann has had a pretty late impact for me too but I'm really enjoying it at the moment. At first, I found the lyrics a bit cringey and embarrassing but the drop is really catchy and now I like lip syncing the lyrics as they are pretty fun - glad it made top 10 officially eventually!! I do like Rockin' but it's never been one of the best on the album for me, I prefer his slow R&B jams like Often & The Hills than the upbeat stuff which doesn't click with me. I wish we were getting Reminder tbh as I am loving that at the moment. Really enjoying Real Life currently too, really pleased it seems to be taking off even a little bit because that type of dance doesn't seem so popular anymore and both artists have definitely seen better days in the charts, it's such a banger though!! Another great single choice from The xx, anything would be good really because the album is such high quality but it's lovely hearing IDY on the radio. Say Something Loving remains my favourite of theirs from this era though. I don't usually love Demi but I can't get enough of SNS at the moment, it's cheesy in all the right ways and the chorus is just so catchy. Pure pop like this seems a bit outdated but I'm hoping it does well for her because it is a bop!! Lovely chart Mango |

Hi! Nice to see Just For One Night climb well! Pretty Girl and Real Life are both great new entries, hope they climb here and I just wish the latter could be a hit officially Great Chart! Hey Thanks for the comment, I'm really getting into JFON lately. I can't see Real Life being a big hit sadly, wish it could too though. Hey Dobbo! Yeah I really didn't think I'd still be enjoying Wall Of Glass quite this much for this long! It will no doubt start dropping soon though. Rain is a great little song, not a masterpiece like you say, but still very pleasant and enjoyable. Yeah Pretty Girl's OK, I just hadn't really listened to it much until now. You're absolutely right about it being generic as hell! Yeah Real Life does sound dated by a couple of years. I'd welcome Duke Dumont getting another big hit, if only because he lives in the same town as me (apparently!) Thanks |

Thanks Hi Mango, Glad to see Kesha top 5 allready Rudimental and The Killers top 10 too is very good I actually really like Rain at the moment very on trend I know but very good too! I am not sure still how I feel about that Pretty Girl remix a part of it is really jarring for me so I am not sure if I can get past it Rockin YES jam Real Life is one of the best dance songs at the moment in my opinion I Dare You is a good choice of single from The XX Sorry Not Sorry is a grower to be honest Great Chart Hi Harry! I think you might be surprised at where Kesha ends up next week Rudimental and Killers are both great, and I'm loving Rain atm I get what you mean about Pretty Girl lol Agreed about Real Life and I Dare You Thanks! Hi Mango Not usually a fan of The Script as such but Rain is pretty catchy, it's not something I'm going to fall in love with at all but I definitely won't skip it if it's on the radio. Lovely chart Mango Hi Josh! 'Rain' is definitely a catchy little song and I hope you change your mind and do fall in love with it. Although it's actually quite hard to "skip" a song when it's on the radio Yeah the 'Pretty Girl' lyrics are definitely a little on the cringey side and it's drop is actually very generic but it's enjoyable enough. On the contrary I prefer The Weeknd's upbeat stuff to his slower R&B jams, so I'm quite liking Rockin'. I can't remember how Reminder goes (I think I need a reminder ) but I'll give it a listen later. Agreed about Real Life, it does sound a couple of years dated but it is a banger so it's pleasing to see it doing something at least. I'm not a big fan of The xx if I'm honest, this is probably the first song of theirs I've actually been into! Can't get properly into Sorry Not Sorry yet... let's give it another couple of weeks though! Thanks |
