Bosses hope the 30-year-old singer adds the same sex appeal as model Daisy Lowe last year.

A show insider revealed: “Mollie is all signed up and will be this year’s Strictly babe.

“She’s a talented performer because of all her experience with The Saturdays and her solo career — so she’s someone who is very likely to make it to the final rounds.

“Producers loved the sex appeal and performance skills of Daisy last year and believe Mollie offers the same.

“She’s also very well connected and has a lot of celebrity friends who will attend filming each week.”

Mollie may also be looking for love on the show — and avoiding the Strictly curse.

She is single having previously dated supermodel David Gandy.

The London-born beauty is the second Saturdays star to go the BBC1 dance show.

Frankie Bridge was runner-up in 2014 — the year the band agreed to take a break from recording.

Mollie is signed to Island Records and a source said: “Her solo career is still very much a priority.

She is working on new music and will continue to release and perform alongside her Strictly commitments.”

The X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke, 28, is also set to take to the dancefloor following a successful spell on the West End stage.

This will be huge for Mollie and (hopefully) her solo career!

Fantastic platform to get some more exposure, especially with them being the lead for ratings over X-Factor in recent years.

It'll never happen given how other artists have fared/how The Sats fared but I'd love for her to at least reach 60,000 sales for an album but it'll end up being not even close to 20,000 sad.gif

Is it bad I forgot Rochelle had been on the show? rotf.gif

I think she'll fare pretty decently and shes very likeable so hopefully the public get behind her!

Not entirely true. Sophie Ellis-Bextor got her biggest album for years doing the show in 2013. Likewise McFly had a big turnaround in fortunes after Harry Judd won in 2011.

Great news for Mollie if its true! I could see her doing well on the show - I'll certainly vote for her!

Arguably they were bigger acts than Mollie was/is at the time they were going on the show. The Sats fanbase has dwindled heavily since GH so it'll only be core fans who buy any music (similar to Una, although she had R2 support) and the type of music she's going for probably won't appeal to the public all that much either.

You can just tell she's going to do a BRITNEY routine, hopefully she does a SATS routine though, I'm guessing the 'What About Us' microphone routine x
