--------------

Anyone who knows me, knows that Brand New have been my favourite band since about 2005. Until Tuesday, they had four albums.

1. Your Favourite Weapon - 2001
2. Deja Entendu - 2003
3. The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me - 2006
4. Daisy - 2009

Since Daisy was released in '09, there has not been a whole lot of new music from them, other than the odd couple of songs & remastering of demos. They announced last year they were going to hang it up in 2018 and news was rife as to whether they would or would not release a final album.

On Tuesday 15th August, Brand New unexpectedly announced this album. A limited edition vinyl variant went up on their website and was sold out in about 20 minutes. There was literally no information to go on during that time, other than "Brand New - Fifth Album, Ships in October." If you've followed the band as long as I have, you know this is their style. I was fortunate enough to grab myself a copy of this ltd edition. On Wednesday 16th August, I managed to buy tickets to see them live again.

Last night, 17th August, Brand New announced the full details and dropped the digital release. I listened to it once last night and I knew instantly it was worth the wait. I can't quite explain the feeling I have, knowing this is real. I'm off to listen to it again and again and enjoy this feeling.

Please do check them out. You should be able to listen to the album on youtube before you buy it. If you've written them off before, give them another try.

The album is up for streaming now on Apple Music & Spotify.

It's currently no. 1 on iTunes USA, and getting so many good reviews.

I love this band so much wub.gif
