But I think Alexandra will win. She is a step above the rest. There are so many good dancers this series aren't there? |

Ooooooooh that was a close shave for Alexandra , I cannot believe how agile Debbie Magee is , she must have done ballet at some stage to be able to get moves like that . only a few weeks left so it will be interesting to see who gets through to the Semi final, at the mo I am guessing Alexandra, Debbie & Davood & not too sure on the others as they are all about even when it comes to their dancing talents , I still think its a disgrace that Aston is gone & he can only blame Janette for that totally wrong routine in their last dance says ' I the expert '

Correct me if I'm wrong but on finals night isn't it only members of the public who can vote?
In which case as both Alexandra and Debbie have now been in the bottom two, I think there could be a shock winner like Joe or Davood snatching it. In our house it's all about Gemma and Aljaz. |

You are right Laura so it's important the right couples get to the final. I like them getting there on merit, Joe & Davood are both very good dancers & Joe has a very good personality which goes a long way in a competition like this . Gemma's dance was a bit peculiar on Saturday night, I could get the concept but not sure of the judges understood |

LOVED this season of Strictly - best one yet I think.
I realised that I just sat on the sofa and smiled at the whole thing. They were all really good. Hubby voted for Gemma again but I'm really pleased Joe won. He's a worthy winner. I feel kind of sorry for Alexandra. She was the best technically every single week. She must know that she has lost because the public didn't vote for her. That can't be a very nice feeling..... |

I used to watch Strictly with my mum. She loved to watch the British version. Since she died I could not watch it anymore for some reason. Alexandra Burke, hasn't she once won the x-factor?

I was delighted for Joe , Katya had the best choreography throughout the whole series I thought .
I thought Gemma was lovely , she had the right attitude & that was to thoroughly enjoy the experience & not worry about winning Alexandra & Debbie are really good dancers in their own right , really loved some of their routines & I loved Mollie, I thought she was a lovely girl but the nerves got to her but she did great Yes, Alexandra did win the XFactor Elisabeth, not sure what she does now, musical theatre I think . Not sure why the fans did not like her, she lost her Mum , was she not entitled to get upset when she genuinely felt it , some folk on the web are so annoying , one of the downfalls of Social media I guess, some folk are vindictive & cold hearted . I can understand how Strictly can make you feel sad Elisabeth especially when you used to watch it with your Mum , it's like hearing a particular song on the radio that gets you in the heart everytime as it reminds you of certain people or certain events |

It's just got better and better Elisabeth as the years have gone on. I thought it wouldn't be as good without Bruce Forsyth or this year without Len Goodman but it is. The format is so joyful and genuinely everyone is looking out for each other and trying so hard. It's impossible not to get caught up in it. The standard this year has been amazing. |

Watched 'The Green Mile' last on on Ch4 , what a brilliant film, they do not make films like that anymore Yes that is a brilliant film. We watched the Italian Job again tonight which is one of my favourite films ever. Then we watched The Accountant which I didn't like. A 2016 very violent film with Ben Affleck. Last night we watched a really bizarre film called In Bruges with Colin Farrell. A weird mix of very dark humour and a lot of violence. It was strangely a good film. Have you seen it Tess? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0780536/ This post has been edited by Laura130262: 31st December 2017, 01:16 AM |

A new series starts this coming week on BBC , some of the scenes I believe are based on true life
English toffs and Russian gangsters make McMafia a TV drama with global ambition The creators of the BBC’s explosive new thriller reveal the inspirations behind their world of crime https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/20...ma-the-new-wire Party Like a Russian springs to mind |

Interesting they said that there are very few interior designers in LA , that is hard to believe. BTW one client was lookng for some 'round' art as in paintings This post has been edited by Sydney11: 1st January 2018, 04:38 PM |
