Not really surprising given that they’re touring together... but Anne-Marie has confirmed herself that she and Ed have recorded a song together and will likely be released ‘before the album’

Not here for Ed obvs but this could be huge for her!!

For whatever reason, Anne-Marie doesn't really excite me as an artist...

Yeah I feel exactly the same way. Just another artist riding on recent hype & a few hits, the next Foxes/Gabrielle Aplin.

Well Friends is good, and her vocal is good on that. A collab with Ed Sheeran is not exciting me though sad.gif

On paper that sounds like the audio equivalent of having your toenails individually yanked out with tweezers. Bloody hell.

Their Christmas Live Lounge was quite good though so I hope it's a bop and not some Perfect-esque ballad.

Is Ed really lowering himself to feature on an Anne-Marie song?

Well she better enjoy the success it brings her!

It's probably a case of her record label trying so desperately to make her happen that they paid through the nose to get it.

I mean she's supporting him on tour so I don't think it's all that unlikely.

Besides, I guess we'll see if this actually comes out or not, I don't expect it'll be any time soon with FRIENDS impacting!

Ah fair enough, I was just a bit confused as he could literally collaborate with anyone at this point but if they want to work together then good for them.

I totally get this impression re: Anne-Marie! She just feels like another run-of-the-mill flash-in-the-pan popstar to me, who'll be forgotten about fairly quickly. The only thing I've loved with her on is "Rockabye".

This is cheap cheap CHEAP. My word. No way this isn't paid for which is pretty cringeworthy on both their parts. So Ed's most recently worked with Eminem, Beyonce, Taylor Swift...and now Anne-Marie, best known for UK #9 smash hit Ciao Adios.

The two are really good friends so I doubt it's that much of a cash grab or desperation, but ofc it can't hurt to have one of the biggest stars on the planet to conveniently collab with.

I agree about Anne-Marie being someone hardly anyone will remember in ten years time, but with that said I think this will be better than the Eminem/Beyoncé/Taylor Swift singles.
