BuzzJack's Ultimate GirlGroup Single In one of the most popular BuzzJack rates of recent times (iirc), I have collated all your votes and we have a Top 100 - 293 songs but only 100 made it and some aren't as obvious as you would think. I will be posting the Top 100 for rate form shortly. I did deliberate whether to just have the points scoring system and not have a Top 100 rate, however I think a rate version will hopefully be a truer representation. First the songs that didn't make it, and got ZERO points from anyone. Poor hens - Alisha’s Attic – Air We Breathe
Alisha’s Attic – Alisha Rules The World Alisha’s Attic – The Incidentals All Saints – Lady Marmalade All Saints – Under The Bridge Atomic Kitten – Cradle Atomic Kitten – Follow Me Atomic Kitten – Ladies Night Bellefire - All I Want Is You Brownstone - 5 Miles To Empty Brownstone - Grapevyne Cleopatra – I Want You Back Daphne & Celeste – School’s Out Destiny’s Child – Emotion Destiny’s Child – With Me Destiny’s Child (ft. Timbaland) – Get On The Bus Eternal – Don’t You Love Me Eternal – Good Thing Eternal – Oh Baby I Eternal – Secrets Eternal – So Good Eternal – What’cha Gonna Do Fierce – Dayz Like That Fierce – So Long Hepburn – Bugs Hepburn – Deep Deep Down Honeyz – Love Of A Lifetime Jade - Every Day Of The Week Jade - I Wanna Love You Little Mix – Little Me Little Mix – Word Up! Mis-Teeq – B With Me Mis-Teeq – Can’t Get It Back Mis-Teeq – Roll On Mis-Teeq – Style Mis-Teeq – Why? Salt N Pepa – Do You Want Me Salt N Pepa – None Of Your Business Salt N Pepa – Shoop Salt N Pepa – You Showed Me Shakespears Sister – I Don’t Care Shakespears Sister – You’re History Solid Harmonie – I Wanna Love You SWV - Downtown SWV - You're The One SWV (ft. Missy Elliott) - Can We A few surprises there - for me I'm surprised mostly at 'Little Me', 'Under The Bridge' and 'Emotion' - all of which I thought were fairly well regarded but apparently not. |

Word Up! got what it deserved
Surprised about Emotion not making it too! Eternal's Oh Baby I is one of my favourite girl group ballads but I couldn't find room for it in my Top 40 unfortunately, a shame that no one else could either. B with Me is my favourite of the Mis-Teeq songs not to make it. As far as I can tell, Under the Bridge/Lady Marmalade is the only girl group #1 single not to progress further? Oops! Looking forward to the rest of the results. |

Also a huge fan of Sugababes' 'Change' which I expected to have more fans, especially over 'Girls'! A beautiful ballad with touching lyrics, Sugababes at their absolute best imo. We also see The Saturdays lose their first with 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'If This Is Love', 'Work' and '30 Days' - I expected 'Work' to be a bit higher as I thought amongst fans it was well regarded. The rest are not their best at all even if I still have a soft spot for 'Just Can't Get Enough' and 'If This Is Love', looking back it's strange to think that they were both relative hits. Pussycat Dolls also lose their first in 'I Don't Need A Man' which is disappointing as I still really enjoy it, however it appears to have gone under the radar for them. Girls Aloud also lose their first two with 'See The Day' and 'I Think We're Alone Now', two of their weaker efforts but I still enjoy both I wouldn't have them as their highest points. The 411 also have their first out of two, 'On My Knees' which is generally forgotten about compared to 'Dumb' which is still to come, I still hear the latter on nights out every now and then and it is mentioned every so often amongst my peers. A shame that 'On My Knees' is so forgotten these days as I think it's a very sophisticated and well made pop/R&B song. Appleton lose both of their songs, with songs I couldn't really tell you how they went :') A bit of a non event of a duo. Bananarama also lose both of their entries, of which I'm not too familiar with at all. Surprisingly, Cheeky Girls still have three songs yet to come which have all made the Top 200! Who knew they had fans! 'Take Your Shoes Off' is their first to fall victim, a shame that is crowned their worst, I remember quite enjoying it. A shame but not super surprising to see Appleton lose out. Also that the Cheeky Girls still have three to come!

Disgusting that 'Soldier', 'I Don't Need A Man', 'Rollercoaster' & 'Change' are considered to be the worst songs to have received points) of the respective artists discographies
Overall a great section for me. I feel like 'I Don't Need A Man' was the only one that I scored points to. What a banger *.* |

you forgot to list Work by The Saturdays as an option in the original post so I assumed it was ineligible or I would have given it my number one slot! gutted

If it's only 210th in the results then it doesn't make much difference anyway

It's a nice song but I can see why it didn't click with the public as such, I do think it's a shame it's tainted their discography in such a way however. Neon Jungle feature three times with 'Trouble', 'Louder' and 'Welcome To The Jungle' - 'Welcome To The Jungle' being my personal favourite and being such an underrated bop! 'Braveheart' is still to come however! I absolutely adored it when it first came out and I will play it every so often. Booty Luv's lowest comes in the form of 'Some Kinda Rush' but still have more to feature later! The Veronica's also feature with mini comeback single, the stunning 'You Ruin Me' which was such a shock Top 10 for me even if it was very shortlived, and then their debut (elsewhere in the world at least) '4ever', an amazing pop/rock song but was released far far too late in the UK but still did well to go Top 20 over here. Thankfully we have now also lost all of Cheeky Girls' songs, with 'Hooray Hooray (It's A Cheeky Holiday)' being BuzzJack's favourite at #156 - probably a bit too high still when you see what it's beaten. Who knew BuzzJack were low key stans for them! I don't think there's any massive shocks in this section however I had hoped that 'Bootie Call' could've done better, one of my favourites from All Saints however I don't think it's too well remembered even if it was a #01 for them. |

I love Whatcha Think About That & Eternal Flame even if both were quite a bit off my top 40. I also love both Louder's, Neon Jungle's one is my favourite song by them and I idec I still regularly bop to Parade's Louder
I really like Echo but Keep Your Head Up is definitely my favourite Girls Can't Catch song, I'm still gutted that flopped. Long Hot Summer & Get Sexy are bops but aren't major faves of mine from either artist. I'm shocked You Ruin Me didn't do better than that An absolutely gorgeous ballad I knew Slip would flop One of my favourite girlband songs ever and I still get my life to it whenever I hear it. Have A Cheeky Christmas & the Cheeky Song guilty pleasure and Jump is such a fun cover, I thought that would do a bit better here! How Ya Doin & Walk This Way are both also good but idm either of them going out now. Don't walk away deserved better (though I actually prefer the Diplo sampled track thingy) and 4Ever is an anthem so gutted that missed the top 150 |
