Ugh this feels like such a lazy song after their time away. Very disappointed that it is Side To Sides ugly cousin

This all feels very reminiscent of the Ugly Heart comparisons that plagued SOTME's release week, albeit less 'rip off' comments this time around. I really don't think WLM/STS sound particularly similar beyond the instrumental and the fact they both feature Nicki.

Side to Side had a similar riff/Nicki verse but the melody and tempo is totally different, it mainly just has a similar "vibe" sonically.

Eh, Ariana did it better. I wouldn't have been able to tell this was Little Mix if I heard it without knowing who it was, nor a band at all for that matter. I suppose you could argue that's not entirely a bad thing, but it feels like it's been done before and it's missing something that distinguishes it as them. Won't harm them at all commercially, but it's disappointingly formulaic. I've long accepted they're not really appealing to me anymore, but I still hold out some hope for another Love Me Like You moment soon x

Spotify Web is showing over 2.2 million global streams for Friday.
If that’s correct, that’s their biggest streaming day. Should be safe for top 20 on the global spotify chart. |

If they can do what Ariana did and stay high on Spotify tomorrow/throughout the week they could clinch the #1! They could fall tomorrow though so fingers crossed and keep streaming!

The only thing I'd recognise Jess' songwriting for is the usual cliches about how "you're everything to me"/"you made me who I am"/"I'd be nothing in life without you inspiring me" etc. Yeah I don’t think the girls need that basicness and can do better I’ve just listened to Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex. I really feel the opening to the song is boring in comparison and doesn’t hook me in as instantly as those two as a lead. |

See most of the fan base / pop fans have been very vocal about while loving those songs wanting Little Mix to move on from the big in your face Disney-esque sound they’re known for with Black Magic, Shout Out To My Ex, Wings etc. I think this a really good step forward to something a bit more mature. And I think it’s still very obviously ‘them’ too. I don’t get the lack of indentity comments at all.

I'm not necessarily on about them moving on from the Disney-esque sound, I'm on about them having a stomping opening to hook people. Look at Black Magic, I remember how exciting that opening was and how hooked I was to listen to it. I heard the opening to this and I didn't quite get the same sense of excitement, even with Nicki's name attached to the track. It feels limp in comparison. |

Agreed, when you hear the Jess Glynne demo and this as I said they do put their attitude and stamp on it. It's not as standout as Black Magic, it doesn't have that undeniable huge chorus, but it does feel very them. I suppose it is a bit more safe, perhaps looking for a US hit, but I still really like it and I do think it's a good first step to a more mature sound. |

Amazing Spotify debut. I was worried it would perform poorly since it didn't have the XF hype propelling it like SOTME, but #5 is brilliant. Hopefully it holds up.

Really happy and incredibly pleased with that debut! Fingers crossed that if they fall it's not too much but would obviously very much welcome them to stay steady and climb! But that's a fantastic start for them.
Agreed with Joe and Liam too. |

Promises has been reduced on iTunes and seems to be closing down on the girls quite quickly 😩

Yeh I predict a debut at around #3 or #4 which is still a brilliant debut!
