With repeated listens, I am finding the main "w-w-w-woman like me" hook a bit lacking, and at times borderline annoying. The rest of the song is really great though, I particularly like the drum loops in the lead-up to that.

I'd still listen to this 100 times, rather than listen to SOTME once.

Yeah with video on Friday and XF on Sunday I can’t see them being lower than #3. If they discount it’s a chance of #1.

I think they could do it without a discount, even. Not exactly a great deal of copies separating the top end of the chart at the moment and I think the combined effect of the music video and X Factor performance would be enough to combat the increasing sales for 'Shallow'.

Gaga followed by Little Mix #1s certainly would be something.

Does anyone know if they're actually performing on Stand Up To Cancer tomorrow? I've seen them listed as guests/contributors but nothing that says they're performing.

Buzzjack needs to sort out Social media embedding, it's such an overdue mess!

The bit in the back of the van looks amazing.

This looks set to be their best video by a country miles. All those shots in the preview look iconic.

I hope the video has some sort of substance or storyline to it; their best videos are the ones which follow some sort of narrative such as Black Magic, Love Me Like You (undeniably their best) or even No More Sad Songs on a lesser extent. If it is another Hair/Shout Out To My Ex of them just prancing around then I am NOT here for it.

I thought 'Hair' was pretty good! Surely it does have a bit of narrative to it? The video plays on the message of the lyrics.

I do agree with your sentiment though. Something like 'Touch' is the one they need to avoid; infamous for borrowing the cheap set from Fleur East's 'Sax' and bum-sledging around on the floor.

Whenever I see it I just see it as a bunch of girls getting together to toast their exes all the while getting drunk with takeaway food in a bedroom fiddling with hair accessory tools! It is far from their best imo. Power is pretty non narrative but the message of the song comes through fantastically with each individual set up so wouldn't object to something similar for this.

If you say 'Hair' has no storyline, what is NMSS storyline? Surely there's more of a story in 'Hair'? laugh.gif

There was a bit more of substance and a maturer setting in my opinion. Hair felt quite immature for a visual. The video for NMSS feels like the next step after SOMTE with arriving in the car, the acoustic intro, the girls dancing with the guys in the bar, the pool game, dartboard and the rodeo feel a bit more fitting to the song of no more sad songs to party and forget your ex lover..

EDIT: I think as well NMSS feels a bit more thought through for a video; Hair the editing as well didn't help with Sean Paul either whereas MGK isn't so badly edited in. That said, I hope Nicki is seamlessly in the video and isn't an awful edit job sad.gif

I don’t think videos need a storyline, as long as they are slick and and well produced. Like, Touch with different colouring/ production/outfits but the same performance could have been their best video.

I’d love them to serve something like this:

Simple, but very effective.

Agreed, it's Little Mix not like Lady Gaga or anything, a fun video that's well done is fine for a song like this.

I audibly guffawed at Nicki's part. Iconic video.
