It's a first chart-topper for Gallant after a few years of trying, as he also hits 4 with his second biggest-track. TOOGOODTOBETRUE is just gorgeous and it also gives Sufjan Stevens a second chart-topper less than 2 years after his first, and 13 years since frist going top 10. Sam Cooke hit 11 around that time with A Change Is Gonna Come, written for the Civil Rights movement of the 60's in the USA, which meant a lot to me at the time (the cause, that is, the song came years later as Sam Cooke was dead before I even knew who he was). The Doctor Who Rosa Parks episode struck a chord with me, and boosted this 50-odd-year-old track into my top 10 for the first time, Sam Cooke's first since 1986's Wonderful World advert reisssue. Paul Weller gets his first top 10 in a couple of years, and extends his run of top 10's to 40 years since he was down in the tube station at midnight. Sia gets a 3rd simultaneous track with the highest new entry at 18 - I'm Still Here she sings. I don't think we had any doubt about that, her songs are everywhere! Alan Walker is back for a 4th top 40, Mylo is back after a decade-long absence with Judie Tzuke also in the 40 after a gap of oohhh, 38 years or so. Rod makes it 47 years of top 40's. Shawn Mendes & Zedd are both returning, T'Pau's Carol Decker is back after a gap of well-over 2 decades with her best single in 25 years, Spock's Vulcan religious/political matriarch was called T'Pau. Staying with the 80's theme, it's not just T'Pau...a mega-artist collab enters for the touring 80's package acts New Kids On The Block, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Salt-n-Pepa, Naughty By Nature, and it's nicely got that late 80's vibe about it. Most of them havent bothered my charts since the early 90's, bar Jordan Knight (NKOTB) and Salt-N-Pepa who carried it on to the late 90's. Friendly Fires and LP both return, Laibach debut after decades of raucous shouty metal - with something completely opposite, classy orchestral works, and the late fab Ofra Haza returns with her signature tune 30-years-on. 1 2 1 4 TOOGOODTOBETRUE Gallant featuring Sufjan Stevens & Rebecca Sugar 391000 2 1 1 3 SHE Charles Aznavour 345000 3 3 3 4 IDEA The O’My’s featuring Chance The Rapper 258000 4 5 4 4 MAD AT YOU Noah Cyrus & Gallant 168750 5 8 5 2 TIME CAN HEAL A MAN SAVEUS 108000 6 40 6 6 A CHANGE IS GONNA COME Sam Cooke 107650 7 6 6 6 SECRETS P!nk 248400 8 7 2 5 NOTHING BURNS LIKE THE COLD Snoh Aalegra featuring Vince Staples 428000 9 9 9 4 MOVES Olly Murs featuring Snoop Dogg 141000 10 37 10 2 GRAVITY Paul Weller 59300 11 11 11 3 ON MY WAY Bunt. featuring Leah Haywood 79400 12 4 1 5 LEFT TO MY OWN DEVICES (ALBUM VERSION) Pet Shop Boys 610000 13 15 13 4 HEAVY, CALIFORNIA Jungle 89000 14 12 1 18 HEY LOOK MA, I MADE IT Panic! Hi John!
Giving your #1 a listen now - it sounds quite relaxing, not something I think I'd choose to listen to but I'm enjoying listening to it now! Don't think I realised Sia had a new song out On first listen it's definitely sounding like a grower. Lots of BJSC here as well - in fact most of the songs I charted! Girls Go Wild, Starfish, Stop Talking and Deep Water were all great. Great chart |

Hello John!
Nice to see the big gains for "All I Am" and "Polaroid" and the debuts for "Diamond Heart", "Lost In Japan (Remix)", "Heaven Let Me In" and "Girls Go Wild"! Great chart! |

Sia has new songs out almost weekly these days, it's hard to keep up! Not surprised at all that we like a lot of the same BJSC tracks, I often go for your choices and pick up helpful tips from your charts cheers! |
