Decided to make this thread to see all the numbers ones including sales only songs. How many non-official number ones do you feel should have been official ones? Which official number ones don't feel like number ones at all?

'Galway Girl' and 'How Would You Feel (Paean)' both peaked at #2 officially! Are they meant to be the other way round (i.e. #1 on sales?) I forget.

Kind of surprising that we're yet to get a #1 that peaked lower than #4 on sales!

'This Girl', 'One Last Time' and 'No Tears Left To Cry' should have had a week at official #1, the rest I'm more or less fine with.

I find it interesting that One Dance kept six songs from the #1 spot, however out of all Drake's other lead #1s the only song he kept from reaching #1 was Barking by Ramz.

Two more entries today:

Dave ft Fredo - "Funky Friday"
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - "Shallow"

Dave & Fredo of course have the official #1 (#12 sales only) while Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper nabbed the sales only number one slot (#6 officially).

Looks like Dave is going to change this quite dramatically as I don't see him getting much higher than his current sales peak laugh.gif

Crazy that Ruti would have been number 1 in the sales only era and only peaked at 14

What does it mean by (#-- officially)?

Songs with (#-- officially) next to them weren't official UK number ones, they were only number one in the sales-only chart so the #-- is the number it peaked at in the official UK chart.

Pink loses another number one officially as she takes the crown on the sales chart only. Coincidentally this is also the second "Greatest Showman" related track to top the sales only chart but not the official chart ("This Is Me" being the first).
