The UK isn’t showing on the chart though - it’s strange.

The UK isn’t showing on the chart though - it’s strange. I imagine there's a higher threshold of streams to get into the UK chart than the other countries that they're charting in. Obviously an album with only three songs available on is going to garner less streams than the majority of 10-15 track albums. |

Told You So is cute but it feels quite DNA or Saltute rather than something that's teasing LM5, but I guess between that, Woman Like Me and Joan Of Arc, we've got three very different sides to the album sonically.

But they are showing at 132 in the US which I’d imagine has a much higher threshold and also much less people streaming Little Mix music. |

They have the Apple Music performance on Tuesday night which will be live streamed. It is odd that they've not announced anything else though.

Joe pointed out that they're not even doing Children In Need: Rocks 😩 Oh I think I read that they've got a VT recorded for the main telethon on Friday though! Obviously they won't be promoting LM5 but it's still a good reminder to viewers that they have music out. |

Could The Greatest Showman re-issue possibly be a threat? It’s constantly been higher on iTunes pre-order and I just feel like there’s not a whole lot of hype for this album at the moment, they could benefit from Syco drama though.
Edit: Just realised Mumford & Sons are up against them too! I still think they will easily be number one but maybe not with the longest chart run and this campaign could possibly be a Salute sort of album performance! |

The Greatest Showman Re:Imagined will be in the compilations chart.Edit: Just realised Mumford & Sons are up against them too! I still think they will easily be number one but maybe not with the longest chart run and this campaign could possibly be a Salute sort of album performance! I suspect the biggest threat is Michael Buble. I feel like LM streams will help them beat out M&S, but it'll probs be closer than I had originally thought between them. I don't think this will be a 'Salute' type of success, I think it'll reach 600k+ by the time the tour kicks off next year. Woman Like Me is holding up amazingly well for a song that seemed to polarise opinions on release. It's just bizarre that the only bit of promo they've done is X Factor and Michael McIntyre (obvz they had Radio 1 and EMAs - but they're about as useful as no promo at all ). Their team usually get their first week album promo spot on, I hope their promo hasn't been affected by this record label drama. |

Let's wait till at least the first set of midweeks before writing this era off as an underperformance. |

I do have to say, that even though i think the album will be a great success overall, at this point, it’s going more under the radar than their past two releases. (I heard single 2’s promo will be bigger). At this point with Glory Days it was very clear that Little Mix had this from tracking the pre-orders. This time round Michael Buble and Mumford have both been way ahead of Little Mix on pre-orders the entire time (both have had better promo than them. For example have been on Graham Norton the last two weeks - Buble had Norton AND XF this weekend. I’m baffled Little Mix still haven’t been booked for Norton since Secret Love Song). So be surprised at a #3 debut this time, possibly lower if Ariana does indeed release the same week.

I can see the album easily making #1 in the New Year if it does fail to get there on release week.

This is literally based on... nothing. Let's wait till at least the first set of midweeks before writing this era off as an underperformance. I’m not saying it will be an underperformance, I expect it to go to number one (which is still an incredible result) but I don’t think it will outsell ‘Get Weird’, I just feel there’s nowhere near as much hype for the album in comparison to the previous two and the instant grats haven’t really done incredibly well by their standards too. I just think they’ve had a lot of publicity at the moment but none seems to be about their music. |

Im not totally disagreeing that there’s less hype from the public than previously but the first grat track from this album (Joan of Arc) charted at the exact same place as the first grat track from Glory Days (You Gotta Not). |

Michael Buble is already #1 on Amazon’s entire album chart and iTunes pre-orders. They stand literally no chance against him. His promo has been amazing though - that carpool karaoke that aired during stand up, Graham Norton, X Factor.

Yeah I wanted to be optimistic but it’s becoming pretty obvious they aren’t gonna get the #1 off the bat. Maybe they could climb there later but regardless, as long as the album performs well I’m not too fussed over the peak. I’m mostly annoyed that people will clearly take this as an reason to claim that they’re “over” especially since the lead missed #1 as well.
I’m interested to see how they’ll perform on Spotify. If I remember correctly, all the Glory Days track entered the Top 200 that first day. I’d love if they could replicate that feat this time around. |

Yeah, it’s a massive shame they didn’t push the promo a bit more (instead of wasting time with stuff like EMAs and Apple concert (which are still great for fans but not for sales). I agree they might make it in the new year too.

I agree they might make it in the new year too. I feel like the Apple Music event was booked with the idea that it will spread around the internet and get more people interested in them as a whole. Not necessarily for album sales but more for casual streams that could turn into fans. So I’m glad they’re doing it but it does seem like it’s taken up a lot of their time that they could’ve been spending on Graham Norton or Jonathan Ross or some other televised promotion. |

I noticed the Amazon thing today too.
It's a shame really as it could have been quite easy for them to get number 1. They'll prob surprise us all and still get that number 1 somehow! |
