'Wasabi' is doing incredibly well given how low it is on the tracklist. Hopefully that convinces them to give it the single treatment at some point! Really impressed with how well 'Strip' is holding up too.

I hadn't realised Clara Amfo had given 'More Than Words' a spin on her show today. I love how much of a stan she is. laugh.gif

Having listened to this 3 times now this has grown absolutely massively on me. There's not one track that I don't enjoy at all.

Apart from 'Only You' the tracks go really well together and I'd say it's probably their most cohesive album to date.

57,106 - Buble
49,365 - Mumford
48,069 - Little Mix

Looks like they'll take #2 by Friday, their predicted sales are 57k for the week. I really thought they'd manage closer to 70k, like Buble will but I guess he just really did have much stronger promo.

I guess missing streaming data could push them above 60k, which is line with what Get Weird opened with, isn't it? Can't say I find those sales worrying at all, presumably they'll sell well in the lead up to Christmas and I'm still fairly confident they'll get #1 in the New Year.

They will be consistent sellers - will it match glory days in the long run, probably not.
But for nowadays, these are good sales.

Yeah the three punch XF finale/Strictly semis/Graham Norton is going to have them selling by the bucketload throughout Christmas. I can see them remaining top 3/4 until Christmas and making it first week of January.

Isn't next week quite a big week for releases? Take That, Rita Ora & 2nd week Bublé (and I'm sure there's an OAP fave releasing too - will have a gander tomorrow)

Also 57k total is niiiice for this week. Think I predicted around the 60k mark so being 3k off seems fair considering lack of promo durung the week of release.

First the controversy with Woman Like Me, now Strip. The ladies are causing so much fuss unintentionally, I'm screaming laugh.gif laugh.gif

I did expect sales of at least 70,000 this week but their current sales have no worrying signals as of yet.

With the little ass promo we got, I think it's ok. With all the promo coming in december, it will make up for it. Glory Days was a masterclass in creating buzz so it was obviously not going to be the same.

ITunes downloads count for nothing in all honesty and tbf, it's 2 compilations that are above them tongue.gif

They'll fall to at least #8 when new releases get releases tonight too.

Wait, what? He performed on Graham Norton & X Factor and appeared on a segment on Stand up to cancer. Little Mix have had X Factor, Michael McIntyre incredibly strong Spotify promotion, incredible radio / television airplay. They also appeared on Children In Need and Stand up to cancer segemant If anything Little Mix have had far more promotion than Buble especially as the difference in streaming sales will be huge. Buble just applies more to a casual customer,

No

Buble had carpool karaoke on Stand up to cancer - that alone is huge!
And hie performed on 2 of the biggest shows the week before the album - his promo was bigger and better timed than LM's.
It's also his first album since his kids health issues (which was brought up in stand up to cancer - and rightly so)

Yes.

Yeah it's a good deal for him to get carpool karaoke on Stand Up To Cancer but the show itself didn't exactly have a huge impact on any single he sang on it, I wouldn't even bring his childrens health into the discussion either. His promotion was better timed than Little Mix yes but Little Mix overall have had just as much promotion and far more exposure on radios and streaming devices. Buble just appeals more towards a casual buyer at the end of the day than Little Mix.

Buble sold mostly a bulk from pre-orders. And in terms of pre-orders all Little Mix had was X Factor where they were put on right at the very start for some reason, when strictly was still on and the show had hardly started, no other act was given that slot oddly. The week before the album release Buble had Graham Norton (Which pushed him to #1 on amazon) and THEN X Factor (on at a better time than LM) the same weekend. A few weeks before that he had the carpool karakoke, and no, his "singles" didn't have more effect, but people always go for albums rather than singles with Buble, it's like with Radio 2 playlisting, people hear the songs and go for the album. The Stand Up For Cancer had lots of viewers, and his 15-minute carpool was kind of major for him, as soon as it was shown his album pre-order went from 38 to 4 and 8 on Amazon, and he didn't leave the top 10 after that, it was trending #1 on Youtube for about a week, too. So yes, his promo was a lot better managed. Little Mix are selling roughly the same as him on a day to day basis now, since their performance on MM, but yeah, his pre-orders from promo were major.
