That return has potential.
Is it a re-cast? |

Ok so that was pretty tedious. Linda needs to just leave Mick, he treats her atrociously. Her leading the repulsive Stuart on in an attempt to save her husband is completely different to him lusting after Whitney for months.
That was the least subtle scene yet of the Slaters all offering to help Hayley and yet she’s still spouting the same old shit. Katie Jarvis couldn’t even be bothered to make any of that dialogue sound convincing. Although I was amused she knew all their history even though she didn’t exist back then. The Dr Legg storyline is 10 years too late. The actor can barely do anything now. And wtf at that ending? Didn’t we get enough Hayley misery? |

That's a massive return tbf considering the success the actor has had post-Eastenders! Well done Kate Oates for achieving that!

I'm screaming that the car didn't even touch her Omg this! Was it the van that hit her? And Louise and Keanu were only there so that a named character could scream? Just waiting for Mick to feel guilty about his football minibus being responsible and make it all about him like the stabbing. |

Can't work out whether Hayley purposely stepped out in front of the van or whether that was just a poorly filmed scene. Or both.
Either way, this feels like another stunt to make viewers sympathise with Hayley and for the Slaters to forget how irresponsible she's been. Neither washes with me. |

To be honest I'm getting bored with Eastenders lately it seems Hayley this, Hayley that and the Stuart and Mick saga both storylines are going round in circles, its never ending. And if someone got hit by a transit you probably be a right mess, you wouldn't walk away from that. Mind you I've seen characters walking after they were under the bus... Whitney. Anything could happen in Eastenders, maybe Hayley getting abducted by aliens

Kate Oates' episodes start at the end of February so here's hoping we get a huge turnaround heading into the spring/summer

I think I'm gonna give up until Kate's work starts showing at least, and then it'll probably take a month or two to kick in properly

The sooner Kate's work starts the better as the show is off the boil for too long now.

Looking forward to some episodes next week with two old characters coming back for Dr. Legg's funeral.

I don't know how many days have passed in Walford time but it's taken a long time for Max or Rainie to discover that all the cash in that biscuit tin in the iamspamspamamidrawer has been stolen.

And worth mentioning what I hated about tonight's show is Stuart killing off an iconic character, why couldn't the producers just let him die peacefully in his sleep. I wish they killed off Stuart instead, or threw him in front of that transit van.

I wish they killed off Stuart instead, or threw him in front of that transit van. Stuart didn’t kill him off though. I actually felt sorry for Stuart here because the one time he was trying to do the right thing and it looks like it will result in an old man’s death. Aside from the fact that episode was one of the poorest in history and definitely think they have gotten Dr Legg’s return all wrong. The first few episodes felt good but Stuart has been way too involved and I think it lacks taste to bring back an elderly character, not only to kill them off but to have them emotionally tortured for weeks right up until the moment of his death. |

I agree. What happened to the hot air balloon trip? Bex gave the 2 tickets to Dot that Shakil had given to her as a present. I was expecting to see Dot and Dr Legg in a balloon looking at the view. That would have been a much more positive ending. Why was it mentioned in the script when it wasn't going to happen?
Sonia was supposed to be caring for him but we never saw her and why did he have no scenes with Ian? I hope he will survive until Monday for a final deathbed scene. |
