It's all about Ariana Grande this week- and a question if either 7 rings or break up with your girlfriend i'm bored will occupy the #1 spot. New entries may include Khalid's Disclosure-produced single Talk and The Chainsmokers/5 Seconds of Summer Who Do You Love, plus MARINA makes her solo comeback

Thank U, Next is sure to give Ariana her third #1 album, her second in under a year. Ward Thomas release Restless Minds, the follow up to the chart-topping Cartwheels, and AJ Tracey heads for his first top 10 with his self-titled debut album

Breakdown of the week
- Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only. Please do not make requests, we do not have any information other than what's posted.
- Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm.
- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.
- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.
- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)
- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).
- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.
- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.
- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I expect 7 Rings to stay on top today but hopefully Break Up isn't too far behind, it's number one on Spotify now so if it's close it could maybe overtake by Friday and give her a third number one from the era.

Expecting her album to do about 80k this week too.

Break Up also debuted at #1 on YT with over 1 million views, so could be close
She's gonna have massive streaming numbers ala Drake/Divide, maybe >100K overall when adding iTunes and CDs

It's just a few copies between one and two as of now, with YOUTUBE this week BUWYG will be number 1 easily.

OK only 41 sales between 7 rings ro BUWYG and now it's also number 1 on Spotify, it's not gonna be even close at he end with a massive YT boost at the end of the week.

I am tiring of the Ariana Grande dominance in the singles chart.
I fear how much Claire Richards will drop today in the album chart.

Yeah it's great to see a female popstar dominate the charts like this! Last time I can think of it happening was Rihanna with her Loud era or GaGa with her debut era, it's not something that often happens and it's so refreshing to see!

Katy's Teenage Dream era was massive too! wub.gif

The late '00s/early '10s was a great period for female artists in general with Rihanna, Gaga, Katy and Cheryl dominating the charts. biggrin.gif

Surely Adele was the last one to dominate when 21 exploded. Ok she only had the one number one but RITD was sat in the top 5 the entire time SLY was no1, not to mention 21 being at the top for 11 weeks and shifting 100k for each of those.
