I've heard that this will be the last album for a while from them because over the next couple of years they're joining the South Korean army. (conscription)

Nah. This is the start of a new album series and so there will almost certainly be 3 albums over the next year. I think the eldest member Jin will enlist in either 2020 or 2021. He's the least essential member so they could even release for another year without him. After that, I guess the rest will do some solo stuff.

As am I. They are the ying to each other’s yang in terms of popularity; it seems as though they’ll always be one-upping one another. On a different note, this sounds extremely promising, here’s to hoping they can actually breakthrough with a substantial radio hit this time around - they deserve it considering how relentlessly they work.

They must enlist by 28, and Jin is 28 next year - so it will be 2020.

Okay so Halsey is heard much more prominently on the actual studio version of the song. I’m assuming they just dimmed her vocals for the video?

You could quite easily miss Halsey on this track but the song overall is really quite good! Their most instant track to date.

that could actually make sense. if they do end up promoting in Korean music shows (or while they’re touring) they might perform the version without Halsey (or just get someone else to do her parts like Park Bom did). It’s more like her contributions to Bieber’s “The Feeling” if anything.

Radio 1 have just played the version where Halsey can be heard more clearly. The song reminds me a bit of Charli XCX's '1999'.
