I know it’s not a Kylie album (but certainly the only reason I own multiple copies is due to the sleeve and inclusion of TOMP) but does anyone have any sales or chart information on the Delinquents soundtrack for the UK? Did it even chart here - I can only seem to find that it reached #20 in australia.

I could be completely wrong, but maybe soundtracks weren't able to count towards the official chart in the UK at the time? I remember hearing something about that when The Greatest Showman soundtrack was number one last year. |

I remember hearing something about that when The Greatest Showman soundtrack was number one last year. That can’t be right because Grease was a huge #1 album in the 70s, as was Saturday Night Fever... |

I think it would have been eligible for the compilation charts rather than the main album chart but I can’t find any information on it or if it did chart.
It was quite a big PWL release and was issued on CD, Vinyl and Cassette - the film did better than many believe in the UK (Box Office #1 and over 1 million in its first week) and the soundtrack of course included a #1 single so would just find it odd if the soundtrack totally flopped. |

Update for Golden: 147,953 Last known sales were 140,891 from W/E 10th January, so has shifted 7,062 in the 24 weeks that followed, working out at ~300 copies a week. |

Great to get an updated figure 150k is great tbh - it should get a boost off the back of Glastonbury too seeing as it’s so readily available still and around £5.

Would be great if Golden can receive a small boost from Glastonbury and Step Back in Time - maybe if retailers advertise it alongside the greatest hits in store and online?
Also hoping we'll receive an OCC list this week for Kylie, either a best selling albums list or a Top 40 singles with streaming would be fab! |

A sales update from OCC would be just great.
If they don't do it that week, when will they as now makes sense. |

The upcoming shows and hype may help it move that step closer to passing 150,000.

The Abbey Road Session sneaks into the Top 200 on today's update - currently at #198 with 504 copies sold (up 201.8% week-on-week, so had sold 167 copies by last Wednesday's update).

Oh wow - was not expecting that at all?! Maybe it’s picked up some CD sales from Amazon? Amazing that even last week it still found around 200 buyers! |

Shame Golden not showing up in the mids too. Will those streams stay assigned to TARS or be added to SBIT? So this explains why TARS is racking up the sales...it’s been collecting all the sales equivalent album streams because it has been the biggest physical ‘greatest hits’ seller!!! |

I know it’s her hits but I’ve never considered TARS a GH due to how different the versions are - also it’s by far my least listened to Kylie album, I appreciate what she done with the versions but nothing beats the originals IMO. |

Agreed though I guess there are no other ‘valid’ hits albums they can assign the streams to so without TARS those streams would just go to the parent studio album I guess??? |

A little look at where some of Kylie's Parlophone singles may have charted if released a week earlier or later (and still sold the same amount of copies):
QUOTE Spinning Around: 82,484 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #2 On a Night Like This: 51,000 (#2) One week earlier: #5 One week later: #4 Kids: 56,449 (#2) One week earlier: #2 One week later: #1 Please Stay: 38,000 (#10) One week earlier: #10 One week later: Outside the Top 10 Can't Get You Out of My Head: 306,648 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #1 In Your Eyes: 52,000 (#3) One week earlier: #2 One week later: #6 Love at First Sight: 80,000 (#2) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #3 Come Into My World: 28,000 (#8) One week earlier: #7 One week later: #4/5 Slow: 43,291 (#1) One week earlier: #2 One week later: #3 Red Blooded Woman: 39,812 (#5) One week earlier: #3 One week later: #3 Chocolate: 17,900 (#6) One week earlier: #5 One week later: #4 I Believe in You: 39,321 (#2) One week earlier: #2 One week later: #2 Giving You Up: 18,421 (#6) One week earlier: #7 One week later: #3 2 Hearts: 26,662 (#4) One week earlier: #5 One week later: #4 Wow: 25,149 (#5) One week earlier: #4 One week later: #4 In My Arms: 12,206 (#10) One week earlier: #9 One week later: Outside the Top 10 All the Lovers: 49,213 (#4) One week earlier: #4 One week later: #4 All the Lovers: 52,455 (#3) One week earlier: #4 One week later: #6 Get Outta My Way: 19,342 (#12) One week earlier: #14 One week later: Unknown (not Top 10) Higher: 37,437 (#8) One week earlier: #7 One week later: #8 Into the Blue: 25,656 (#12) One week earlier: Unknown (not Top 10) One week later: #10 A quick look at what could have been: 01 Spinning Around 02 On a Night Like This 01 Kids 10 Please Stay 01 Can't Get You Out of My Head 02 In Your Eyes 01 Love at First Sight 04 Come Into My World 01 Slow 03 Red Blooded Woman 04 Chocolate 02 I Believe in You 03 Giving You Up 04 2 Hearts 04 Wow 09 In My Arms 03 All the Lovers 12 Get Outta My Way 07 Higher 10 Into the Blue |

As for the albums:
QUOTE Light Years: 43,000 (#2) One week earlier: #3 One week later: #3 Fever: 139,075 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #1 Body Language: 68,866 (#6) One week earlier: #3 Ultimate Kylie: 82,822 (#4) One week earlier: #3 X: 82,370 (#4) One week earlier: #2 Aphrodite: 79,152 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #1 The Abbey Road Sessions: 37,556 (#2) One week earlier: #3 One week later: #3 Kiss Me Once: 29,251 (#2) One week earlier: #4 One week later: #4 Golden: 48,032 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #1 Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection: 31,980 (#1) One week earlier: #1 One week later: #1 Body Language was rather unfortunate to be released in a competitive week, but truthfully it should have been able to hold its own considering it was coming off the back of Fever. X would have easily been #2 the week before as the actual #2 (Westlife) sold 54k. They only narrowly beat her to #3 on its actual release week, leading by 1.3k. I remember it being frustrating that George Michael released the same week as Kylie in 2014, but it seems Kiss Me Once was very lucky to even make the Top 3! |

Body language on the back of the huge success of fever should have done more as pre release I had high Hope's of another number 1. |

She certainly had a lot of lucky & unlucky moments!
Thank goodness Spinning Around was well-timed. A #2 comeback would have been fine I suppose, but less of a triumphant "I'm back!" moment. On a Night Like This was certainly very lucky to place at #2. The 2-11-18-25-40 run was sadly quite poor for a #2. It should have done so much better! Love at Fight Sight missing its opportunity to be a #1. I feel it would have gone down as being a bit of a "non-#1" moment with the chart run it subsequently had though (8-11-21-33-40). Good timing for In Your Eyes to be released in advance of the big Will Young/Shakira/Nickelback week. #2 a week earlier would have been lovely though! Slow definitely seemed like a bit of a fluke #1, but I'm so glad she made it. Crazy to think it's almost 16 years since Kylie last had a #1 single. Red Blooded Woman's sales for #5 were very strong for 2004! I guess it could be argued that it being released alongside Toxic might have helped pick up a few more sales than in another week. Unfortunate that Come Into My World, Chocolate & Giving You Up missed out on being Top 5 hits! Into the Blue being robbed of Top 10 QUOTE Get Outta My Way: 19,342 (#12) One week earlier: #14 One week later: Unknown (not Top 10) A week later she would have been #13! #12 sold 21,730, #13 sold 18,776. I'll always be bewildered that this song was quite poorly received by the public. ~ As for the albums, I'm glad Kiss Me Once made it to #2 but it was evidently very lucky to get that high. Mid to late 2000s was such a competitive time with amazing sales! Almost 69k to end up at #6! A shame that Body Language missed out on being a Top 5 album, although she did far better than Britney who entered at #14 with In the Zone in the same week ( ) |
