V2 :

YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier.

1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for.
2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range
3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most)
4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks.
5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split.
6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it)

Thank you.

It won't be, because it doesn't include pre-1994 sales.

Just out of curiosity: why is A Star Is Born credited as "Cast Recording feat. Lady Gaga" when the cast on the album includes only Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper?

Its a running joke on here whenever anyone mentions ASIB they only mention Gagas credentials and accolades, and basically pretend Bradley cooper doesnt exist

That's way better than that "running joke" tbh although in the US it is actually "Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper"

There is also a version of the ASIB soundtrack that contains dialogue from other members of the cast- you can listen to Sam Elliot mumbling away in audio form too, which I guess is why the soundtrack isn't just credited to Gaga and Bradley.

The OCC really isn't an authority on what 'correct credits' are, just look at them never crediting the unambiguously credited featured artists on 'Rockabye' for some nebulous reason. AFAIC it was released under the names Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper so that is the 'correct credit', the OCC just chose to tag it as a cast recording presumably to try and appear consistent in how they credit film soundtracks.

It is cast recording of course as well, I don't mind that. But it should also be regarded as an album for both Gaga and Cooper (the latter might release other music in the future too)
