Britney Spears – "Piece Of Me"
Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch – "Sweet Nothing" Dua Lipa – "Be The One" Cheryl – "Fight For This Love" Kylie Minogue – "Spinning Around" Spice Girls – "Say You'll Be There" This was hard. "Lush Life" and "I Will Never Let You Down" were close to receive my vote too. Personally, I'm surprised that "Sweet Nothing" is struggling. I don't think this was a bad choice because it's one of the standout tracks from 18 Months and I guess people tend to like/enjoy it as well, so I assume it's because of how strong this round is. Calvin forum should have submitted Say My Name if they wanted to go with Florence!!! Could they go with "Spectrum (Say My Name)"? Although it's not stated in the rules, I assume that only official credits (as a lead or featured artist) are valid instead of credits as a producer or remixer, which would only apply for him. I mean, if the latters are valid, they could submit "Call My Name", "Too Much" or "Waking Up In Vegas", even "I Will Never Let You Down" if it wasn't taken, for example.

I don't know who is behind Too Much or Vegas but Rita Ora is singely credited for IWNLYD, no? And I always thought he was credited for Spectrum...maybe I am wrong!!! |

I don't know who is behind Too Much or Vegas but Rita Ora is singely credited for IWNLYD, no? Yes. Rita Ora is only credited for "I Will Never Let You Down" as you said. My point was if the credits as producer and/or remixer are valid (which I don't think they are). "Too Much" is an album track from Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite, which was produced by him. It's the fourth song he produced to her, being the others her cover of "Love Is the Drug", "In My Arms" and "Heart Beat Rock", while "Waking Up In Vegas" is the fourth single from Katy Perry's One of the Boys, which was remixed by him.And I always thought he was credited for Spectrum...maybe I am wrong!!! No, he wasn't, hence the reason why I made the post above.

1. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me (I thought nothing from 'Blackout' would get entered )
2. Lady Gaga - Born This Way 3. Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down (finally! my favourite solo Rita song by miles [I also love her Sigma and Rudimental collabs] and thus the first time she's made my vote) 4. Madonna - Like A Virgin 5. Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl 6. Dua Lipa - Be The One (and the same as Rita, except without 'by miles'; I've now voted every remaining artist at least once!) - 7. Cheryl (Girls Aloud) - Fight For This Love (meanwhile, GA miss out for the first time! if it was '3 Words' it would be #1 but I doubt that would be a wise entry at all ) 8. Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch - Sweet Nothing 9. Zara Larsson - Lush Life 10. Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There 11. Little Mix - Shout Out To My Ex 12. Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around (not bad, but I prefer pretty much every single other 1994-present hit of hers, and about half of the early ones I knew it was bound to be entered though, and I hope it survives anyway since Kylie's been the artist most consistently high in my ranks) |

The sooner people realise that Be The One isn't half as good as y'all believe it to be, the better tbh.

Dua Lipa - Be the One
Britney Spears - Piece of Me Lady Gaga - Born This Way (gay rights!) Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl (lesbianism for titillation rights!) Zara Larsson - Lush Life Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There Madonna - Like a Virgin Cheryl Cole - Fight for This Love (I'm surprised the GA forum had to resort to Cheryl's solo career for an entry at this point, especially a song that isn't Call My Name!) Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch - Sweet Nothing Kylie Minogue - Spinning Around Little Mix - Shout Out to My Ex A fantastic top half, and I'd have been happy to vote Spice Girls if I had the space for it. The sooner people realise that Be The One isn't half as good as y'all believe it to be, the better tbh. i knew buzzjack was racist but HOMOPHOBIC? a plot twist x ~ |

Cheryl Cole - Fight for This Love (I'm surprised the GA forum had to resort to Cheryl's solo career for an entry at this point, especially a song that isn't Call My Name!) This makes it sound like we sent a Kimberley song! We've got plenty of choice for future rounds, FFTL is still hugely popular and actually by far the biggest selling GA-related track. It's not "resorting" to a Cheryl song cause we've got nothing else, it's just planning ahead. |

GAH at how close this is
GA should have sent Kimberly 'One Day I'll Fly Away'. They've truly Beyonce'd it. |
