We're one week away from the release of Madame X. Hot new releases that week include Bruce Springsteen's Western Stars, Bastille's Doom Days and a 40th anniversary vinyl edition of Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures.

What's everyone's final chart predictions?

Initially I said 32K I think I did say over 30K and #2.

I’m sticking with #2 position but I think sales will be under 30K now. Around the 25-27K mark I’m thinking.

Hoping I’m wrong and she does more though!

Really hope it goes to #2 (well #1 would be even better) but I’d love to see all her albums from Like A Virgin being #1 or #2 peakers

#1 is absolutely out of the question but I think she will have #2 on lock. I'm anticipating sales to just sneak into the 25-29k bracket.

The album could even peak at no3 given Bastille is also out next week.

Lil Nas X is also releasing an EP i read but I think he’ll be much more of a US threat than a UK one.

I did think that might be the case a few weeks ago, but at this point I reckon they're not gonna be much competition.

I agree with about 23K at #2.

2 cd
3 cassettes
3 vinyl editions

Depending on where you purchased them from they won’t count towards chart but it’s a lot !!

Lewis Capaldi is still selling over 20k so might be close.

I'm thinking this may miss the top 2 tbh. I'm nervous for the first mids info, but regardless we have a solid album so I shouldn't care about commercial success at this stage!

Yes I think both Bruce and Lewis at least will beat her.

But, as you say, chart positions don’t feel as important now the album has been generally well received.

When do we usually get first info for how the albums are doing? unsure.gif

I really like the album - it’s a solid release but despite good reviews and promo there seems to be zero hype for it.

You can sometimes find info on Twitter at the weekend but I don't think anything was reported. Otherwise it's Monday when Music Week update at 6pm (unless us chart mods get anything from our source earlier).

Judging by its predicted performance in the US and Rebel Heart's opening, I'd say 29k and #1

Could be less though in which case #2/3 isn't out of the question.
