Asia's Got Talent was a random choice I have to say, but I'm sure it paid her well which is probably the reason she took that job.

As far as the DJ-ing do you not think she might just enjoy doing it? Why should she not learn a new skill and do something different?

Superstar, Blood Brothers, JCS, none of them were low rent or cringe. You are being unfair making such a broad statement.

The DJing is just sad though, I mean she was playing a student union a STUDENT UNION. Also it is not even proper DJing she is just playing a pre prepared playlist, she isn't scratching the decks. She us basically a famous face bopping around while a 90s mixtape plays.

She has to start somewhere. You pay your dues as an artist not everyone can get massive gigs instantly. None of the girls are the big superstars they once were, so expecting them to be able to get huge things all the time is unrealistic (unless you're Victoria). They've all scraped the barrel at points in their careers (Victoria included) and also done good gigs too. Melanie C was also DJing at the Brits afterparty which is a pretty good gig on the other end of the scale...

Like I said maybe she enjoys doing it, there is nothing embarrassing about doing something you enjoy whether it's doing it at your own house party, a student union or a festival.

Ps when I was at Uni we had Sugababes (at the time of releasing About you now), Alesha Dixon (during her Boy does nothing album campaign), Booty Luv (while they had their big hit singles Shine etc), all perform at our student union. All three of them were having #1's or big top 10 hit singles and albums at the time but they still did it.

Who says it makes her happy? It makes her money is more accurate.

I would think Mels solo career does enough to cover expenses therefore allows her to continue her solo path without it eating into her wealth.
She is financially secure from all her earnings from the Spice Girls and the current reunion will have added sufficiently to her wealth.
Mel C and Emma appear the least lavish of the 5 girls with spending and come across as financially secure.
Posh we know is on another level due to her fame following the Spice Girls.
Geri despite having her own wealth married someone even richer so i doubt money is an issue.
Mel B looks the least financial secure of them all.

Her accounts showed a loss of £800k, her solo career is defo a big money pit.

I had wrongly understood Geri's husband was wealthier than her.
Mel C needs to look at other avenues if her solo ventures are showing losses of such huge sums of money.
Maybe a Greatest Hits will come as a final album release.

You DEFFO don't know. Accountants play with numbers so their clients avoid paying tax. Melanie has multiple companies - one for recording, one for touring, one for production, etc. They transfer money between them. I'm sure she is playing her cards smart & safe. She is the most sensible Spice Girl, after all.

Why? She's been losing money for her albums since, well, Red Girl was started. I don't think her company has ever been financially viable.

Her money mainly comes from doing live shows and other things. It's always been that way. Her solo music is a hobby at best - and why not? She's rich and likes performing.

A hobby is always good to have but if it costs you that much it time to reconsider.
I do believe she has other incomes to support this as there is likely some Spice Girls royalties still coming in prior to the reunion announcement.
