With her most comprehensive Greatest Hits release which of the 2 cd's do you prefer?
So many songs, so many choices.

I’ve gone for both - the only song I skip is ‘Kids’ tongue.gif

I enjoy both CDs but i have a preference for CD2.
This CD covers 2 eras (borderline 3 if you include New York City) and is where the foundation of her career is showcased and demonstrates the building of Kylie into a legend.

Such albums go in cycles of preference when 2 Cd's are involved.
What will CD 3 offer we don't know but it will add hugely to this great collection.

CD 1 for me! The flow of the tracks works really well. 'Dancing' fits comfortably among the big hits, songs with disco elements are in close proximity (perhaps 'The One' could be swapped with 'In My Arms') and there's still popular moments towards the end of the disc too to stop it being front-loaded.

I find the De-con era being tagged on the end of CD 2 a bit awkward; 'Confide in Me' is a defining Kylie hit so shouldn't be left at the end of the album. I do get that it's the only song of its kind and it's difficult to decide whether it should be placed with the PWL or Parlophone songs, however I'd have made the bold decision of placing it as track 1 on CD 2 then go straight into 'Better the Devil You Know'. That way, 'Confide in Me' doesn't get lost within different sounds and styles and the iconic intro to 'Devil' is enough of a marking to signal the change in direction. 'What Do I Have to Do' should be moved towards the other Rhythm of Love singles too: it's the 'golden quartet' so it just seems right that they should flow into one another.

The flow def isnt right on the album and not sure how they came to placing the songs and defo rhythm of love singles should be together. I understand why 2000 onwards is CD 1 but again the flow isnt quiet right.

I don't understand why they didn't do the track listing in line with how the singles were released.

It would have made more sense that way but there was obviously some reason behind it.

I think it sometimes is a bit flat that way - people not knowing the eras or it going from hits to flops, I think they need to space out the hits and eras to keep someone interested.

I actually love that idea re Confide In Me being at the beginning wub.gif I have just played it with BTDYK coming after and it flows so well wub.gif

I prefer CD1 to CD2 as I feel it flows better than CD 2 does.

The Flow of CD 2 could be much stronger.
I don't understand Celebration in the middle of I Should Be So Lucky and The Loco Motion as these is the start and end of her PWL time.
Give Me Just A Little More Time doesn't sit well either in the middle of The Loco Motion and Never Too Late.
What Do I Have To Do is completely placed wrong.

The Flow of CD 1 is better but as i previously mentioned, right now I listen to CD 1 much more.

The Rhythm of Love singles are seen by large as her Golden quartet of singles and should have flowed together on the album.

While I do have appreciation for her 80s/90s music, I came on board as a fan in 2000 with Spinning Around - so I have to go with CD1!

I prefer the version that has New York City on CD1 instead of Breathe. It strikes me as too random to have Breathe in isolation on a CD of 00s/10s music.

Same here! Breathe sort of fits sound wise but it's just knowing it belongs to another era which is represented on a separate disc that makes it really jarring.

It does show how placing a song on an album can make a difference when listening to an album in full whether it's a greatest hits or studio album.
