BJSC 116 update
YTD by points - Aeroche got their second win of the year (the first time they've achieved this since their three back-to-back wins in 2012, having had a consistent one win per calendar year since then) which was enough to close the gap and put them in the YTD #1 slot on their way to a very possible 7th consecutive EOY #1. They have a 42 point lead over FARC who slip a place to 2nd. Oslol solidify their place in 3rd after getting another top 5 hit, their fourth straight top 10. Fljótavík and Quintessa climb a place each to 4th and 5th respectively, the first two of five more countries who pass 1,000 total points for 2019 to date. - Thelonia continued their impressive run of late to get their first medal position with a 3rd place finish in BJSC 116, which sees them climb three places to #6 on the YTD. Cor Lupus are a non-mover at #7 and Unovia make the top 10 for the first time this year rising 3 places to #8 and being the last of the new countries who get over the 1,000 point mark for the year. Danćviia were only just short of that in the previous update but suffered a DNQ this time and thus drop 4-9. Kings of low top 10 St. Burbia got their first top 10 of the year and also make the YTD top 10 for the first time this year, rising 16-10. Unovia and St. Burbia both enter the top 10 as in the main list, up 14-7 and 13-8 respectively. Quintessa drop two to #9 and Lotunia ease up one place to #10. Danćviia's DNQ costs them their top 10 place here, they drop 6-15, while Kluminican Republic fall 8-18 as in the main list. Oslol fall 3-5 after picking up only one more 18. - Fljótavík's 2 top scores in this contest pushes them up 10-6, Danćviia have a smaller drop here of just two places to #7, Greenfroze's wacky AQ entry earned them 3 more 18s which shoots them up 20-8, Vülkyria also enter the top 10 up 13-9 with 2 more 18s and Espen retain a top 10 place here, down 6-10 despite not getting any 18s this time. Rolling YTD top 30
(top 30 countries in the last ten contests (BJSCs 107-116)) - FARC manage to just hold off Aeroche here to hold at #1 for a third non-consecutive update at the top, only 13 points ahead. They're both miles ahead of the closest competition. Cor Lupus climb to 3rd place knocking Quintessa down to 4th, while Unovia hold in 5th. - After a slight fall in the last update Thelonia resume rapidly climbing, up 6 places to a new peak of 6th. They now have a streak of 10 qualifiers in a row though so it'll be a little more difficult for them to climb any further than this. Oslol are a non-mover at their peak of #7 and St. Burbia rise 3 to a new peak of #8. Fljótavík and Jadakissnia fall a place each to 9th and 10th and it's a bad update for the dance bloc as Danćviia and Cowtermont both slip from the top 10, down 6-11 and 10-16 respectively. - Lotunia rise to a new peak of #17 after entering the top 30 for the first time in the previous update. There are two re-entries, with FSR Rontvia popping right back at #28 (despite a bottom 3 finish in BJSC 116) to limit their time outside this list to just one update for now, while Daehun are back in at #30 after missing out 12 updates in a row. (these updates now containing the new look Oslol flag, how exciting) BJSC 117 update YTD by points - The top 3 remain miles ahead of everyone else, but the battle for #1 is still competitive. While FARC picked up another top 10 hit this time (their 5th of the year) and Oslol also came top 10 for the fifth time in a row, Aeroche had a relative underperformance with their auto-qualifier which costs them their #1 spot for now. They drop to #2 just two points behind FARC who rise a place back to the top, while Oslol hold in third and close in slightly on the top 2. Fljótavík remain in 4th place and Thelonia rise a place to enter the YTD top 5 for the first time after getting a second straight top 5 hit in BJSC 117. - Another top 10 hit for Cor Lupus pushes them up a place to #6, while Unovia also climb one place to #7. Altyr Muunilinst achieved their first top 10 hit for a year in BJSC 117, and their first medal position since BJSC 96, which also places them in the YTD top 10 for the first time up 14-8. If they remain top 10 in the EOY it'll be a return to form as they placed in the top 10 six times in a row before plummeting to #44 in last year's EOY. Espen also return to the YTD top 10, up two places to #9, while Quintessa slump 5-10 following their first DNQ of the year. Rolling YTD top 30
(top 30 countries in the last ten contests (BJSCs 108-117)) - FARC and Aeroche remain in 1st and 2nd with both only slightly decreasing in points (FARC's lead very slightly increases to 19 points as they are in the lead for the fourth time). Oslol's streak of consistent hits is finally enough for this list to catch up with the runaway top 3 in the YTD, with them zooming up to a new peak of #3. Cor Lupus and Quintessa fall a place each to 4th and 5th. - Thelonia hold at #6 but are closing in on the top 5. Unovia fall two to #7 while Jadakissnia climb two to #8. Fljótavík are unmoved at #9. Thelonia nab the silver medal here over TARO Bellamia but they still get a solid 3rd place. Holland-Oats rank in the top 10 instead of Lotunia and we have a record-breaking negative difference as Lene Lovich ended up 13 places lower than she would have been under the 12 point system, beating the record of 11 set by four previous songs (three of which were this year), unsurprising as 7 of the 13 votes Lene received were medal positions and she actually received none of the 'trickle points' (1 to 5) with her lowest score being 7 points! The ultimate niche entry?

BJSC 118 update YTD by points - None of the three leading nations made the top 10 of BJSC 118, but all still qualified so remain in good shape to stay in the medal slots for the end of year list. Rolling YTD top 30
(top 30 countries in the last ten contests (BJSCs 109-118)) - Aeroche and FARC both didn't have their greatest results ever this month but FARC did worse and had more to defend, which means Aeroche are back at their natural home of #1 on the rolling list, the 50th time they've ranked there in total over 9 distinct runs. FARC fall back to 2nd while Oslol hold at their peak of #3 making significant gains on the top 2. Cor Lupus hold at 4th and Thelonia crack the top 5 for the first time as they continue to rack up the hits, rising a place to #5. - Lotunia ride their win up 4 places to a new peak of #6 on only their fourth appearance in the top 30. Quintessa's DNQ sadly costs them dearly as they fall two places to #7. Jadakissnia's points total is nearly unchanged (as was Cor Lupus' for that matter) as they remain at #8, Unovia suffer a similar fate to Quintessa and also fall two to #9, and Fljótavík are also down one to #10 despite also having a very stable points total. - There are no other new peaks but Dobago do remain at their peak of #13 first achieved last month. YTD by points - Leadership of the main YTD list swaps hands again, as FARC got their sixth top 10 hit of the year in BJSC 119 and move up a place back to the YTD #1 spot, with Aeroche slipping back to 2nd after another entry of theirs that could only manage a midtable finish. Both countries pass the 2,000 points mark for the year with FARC 38 points ahead, and Aeroche 193 points ahead of third place, so it very much looks like a straight fight between the two in the last contest of the year to take the EOY #1 slot (unless both DNQ somehow). Oslol's DNQ probably takes them out of the running, as they fall a place to 4th, swapping with Cor Lupus who rise to 3rd following their third straight top 10 hit - Cor Lupus were end of year #4 each of the last two years, will they improve on that this time? Fljótavík return to the top 5, up one to 5th following their third top 10 hit of the year. - They had a tumble on the YTD last month but a landslide win this contest (their second win to date) more than reverses that drop for Unovia who rise 12-6, the highest position they have held all year. Espen also reach a new high up another place to #7. Thelonia fall three place to #8 after their dream qualification streak finally ended. Altyr Muunilinst hold at #9 and Lotunia drop 7-10 after finishing a distant last with their auto-qualifier (but hey at least it didn't quite end up with 0 points, they got enough to just barely keep a YTD top 10 position ahead of Jadakissnia who are a non-mover at #11 just 5 points behind). They swap with Aeroche who fall back to #2. Both lost quite a few points from their rolling total but Aeroche lost more, it's very close again with FARC only 21 points ahead. Oslol and Cor Lupus are non-movers at #3 and #4 while Unovia zoom back up four to #5. - Fljótavík rise four places to #6, the highest position they've occupied since they were 3rd in the BJSC 64-73 update.
