Highlights:
- After 11 weeks of dominating the charts at #1, "Mambo Salentino" by Boomdabash & Alessandra Amoroso were finally dethroned, as the song dropped a spot to #2.
- The new #1 is "After The Landslide" by Matt Simons, making it his second #1 single after "Catch & Release (Deepend Remix)" in 2015, for "After The Landslide" I've put both links to the original and the remixed version of this song down below where you can also find the other new entries that I'll go through too.
- Also in the top 10, "Let's Be Lovers Tonight" by Rea Garvey remixed by Deepend went two places up to #3, making it his biggest hit in my chart.
- The biggest climber this week comes from James Blunt with "Cold" rocketing up 47 places up to #7.
- Finally, The Script return with another top 10 hit with "The Last Time" at #9.
- Other new entries come from Tiësto & Mabel, Wincent Weiss, Tiziano Ferro, Capital Bra, Samra & Lea, Xavier Naidoo, Rex Orange County, Luke Combs, Two Door Cinema Club, Sido & Johannes Oerding, Steve Aoki & Backstreet Boys, Lana Del Rey and Shirin David.
- In the album charts, Sam Fender leads the chart with "Hypersonic Missiles" once again, with Taylor Swift's "Lover" behind at #2 and Charli XCX's "Charli" at #3.

a new #1 and another one that I'm not familiar with! ;o I haven't heard of Matt Simons since 'Catch & Release' was a minor hit in my chart anyhow.
good to see Tiësto debut nice and high here too.

The Script debuting nice and high is great to see! It’ll be interesting to see how this performs commercially compared to Rain - it’s a much better song that’s more like The Script but it’s less trendy so we’ll see tongue.gif

Ive only just really listened to Castles a couple of days ago but I really like it! I much prefer it to Lost Without You which got quite tedious to listen to tbh laugh.gif

The new #1 from Matt Simons is from his new album "After The Landslide" released this year, while Matt Simons doesn't do as well in the UK, as he did in Germany & Italy, I've heard this remix after I knew that "After The Landslide" would be his next single.
Glad you like the Tiësto/Mabel debut, hopefully it will climb in my chart further than #11 after the BJSC takeover next week.
Thank you for your comment!

Glad you like the debut for The Script, I'm curious to see how this does in comparison to "Rain", considering I really liked "Rain" in 2017.
"Castles" is much better than "Lost Without You", which didn't do much for me, "Lost Without You" missed a certain spark that "Castles" has.

Hi Sergej! I didn't see that new entry on top coming laugh.gif Must check it out when I get a moment spare, all a bit rushed at the mo!

Fab climb for James Blunt! Always good to see Rex Orange County enter in any chart, I need to hear it some more, fab at Lana in with The Greatest, and that leaves most of my other faves falling oops! laugh.gif There's a host of tracks I want to check out though, so that will be a must next week!

good stuff!
