Top 100 for the 5th October 2019
Pete's Chart Commentary And to the collective shock of absolutely everyone, Lukas Graham didn't debut at #1!!! They have to settle for #2. This week's chart is lacking a bit in terms of new entries but more than makes up for it with action in the Top 10 as three songs get there for the first time and Lola Marsh continue to make strides up into the Top 5, pre-empting that 20-place drop when they predictably finish bottom 5 in the Final. The last Milky Chance song (can't even remember its name) wasn't too good but their newest one - Fado - enters straight into the Top 20. Walk Off the Earth also have a new song out, and some more indie choices enter in the form of Client Liaison and Mando Diao. Regard and Hannah Kerr also crack the Top 40 for the first time this week, whilst Will Joseph Cook climbs to #41. great to see Carissa top ten here, one of my faves of BJSC this year.
Ride It is a nice enough track, not challenging for my top 10 like I thought it would but good to see it be such a chart smash anyhow. hopefully We Got That Cool (and Ven Pa Ca) can crack the top 40 next week! great chart! |

Hey Pete!
The new Lukas Graham didn't sound like anything special when I heard it a few days ago but I should have known you'd chart it  I've quite liked some of Milky Chance's previous stuff so I'll have to check out 'Fado'. I don't quite get why that Regard song is doing so well, it's just another generic dance track. The original is very good though so I guess that helps! Good stuff
