Ken’s speech tonight was amazing!!
Katie again was heartbreakingly great as Sinead Emily’s brief cameo too! I really hope that’s not the last we ever see of her. Nice to hear she’s in Edinburgh now I thought she was in Peru! |

It was done very well, anyone else think Ken has really aged in the last few months?

No Corrie until next Wednesday in fact! Really. Corrie fans on DS will be up in arms. Wonder why they didn't schedule an hour on Sunday at 7 or have a Tuesday episode. Puts them 4 episodes behind that they have to slot in somewhere as they always produce 312 episodes a year no matter what happens and not any less. Still, when The Queen dies they say it'll be off up to a fortnight but at least a week until after the funeral. This post has been edited by Common Sense: 11th October 2019, 03:35 PM |

Kate McGlynn was brilliant in last Wednesday's episode. Even my son (who HATES all soaps and is more of a Breaking Bad person) commented on the scene in the consultant's office - where the camera just stayed on her face - her eyes spoke a million words.

To make up for the lost time, the week beginning Monday, October 21 will have seven episodes of Corrie in total, including an extra instalment squeezed in at 8.30pm on Thursday 24th October.

Apparently there's going to be a big Platt family storyline coming up soon. Doesn't David get released before Christmas?

Gail returns next week so the storyline will start off shortly after her return.
The big storyline is likely to coincide with Bethanys departure. |

I remember reading something on it where it said something about black ties and no comedy being shown on TV. Really had no clue it affected soaps. Whenever that time comes I just bet a major story will be underway. |

I hate the Daniel/Bethany diversion in this storyline as it distracts from a very important and poignant storyline.

God I'm gonna be an absolute WRECK when Sinead actually dies I can't believe a character I thought was disposable and I once couldn't wait to be rid of is capable of this!

It just goes to show that Corrie wasted her for 6 years. It’s bittersweet she’s turned out to be so good in the role so late as it means she’s leaving on a high and is probably due some awards and rightfully so BUT just think of what the show could’ve done with her had they given her a chance to do anything before now. Also is Shona really annoying anyone else? She’s turning more like Anna Windass each episode with her constant moaning and nagging They’ve really made her unlikeable I’ll be happy when she goes on maternity. |

Shona shouldn't have shaken Max like that. No wonder he's sneaking off to see his other granny.

Derek Milligan decides to get revenge on Gary Windass after their business partnership soured and furiously wields a gun in the Rovers.
But during the firefight, which plays out on December 25, Michelle Connor’s partner Robert Preston, played by Tristan Gemmill, is fatally shot. Another resident is also wounded. A soap source said: “Derek gets drunk and starts waving a gun around the pub. "There’s a tense stand-off then a massive fight between the two men and two people are shot, including Robert, who dies on Christmas Day. |
