5th. Alejandro = 11 votes




Welcome to Round 20 of Lady Gaga's least fave singles poll & finishing in 5th place and becoming a somewhat dark horse of this competition 'Alejandro', which was released in April 2010 as the final single from her 'Fame Monster' EP and while many expected 'Dance In The Dark' to be the album's 3rd single, Gaga however had other ideas and chose something totally different & strangely enough it totally works, (if I had my way I'd release both songs). 'Alejandro's' violin backed intro quickly gives way to a beautiful wall of wonderful electronic waves as Gaga bids her ex-lovers farewell over a stomping beat and a hopeful melody. There is a clear influence of 90's Europop sound in there, but the production finds new amongst the sonic foundation and crafted something pretty great. Of course this became yet another massive success and closed the era with an almighty BANG!, but still to this day I don't find the music video matches the song very well, but other than that no complaints.


As for the other songs 'The Edge of Glory' really started picking up more votes with 9, while 'Paparazzi' manages 6, then 'Poker Face' gets 2 votes, then finally for the 4th round in a row 'Bad Romance' doesn't gain a single vote.
