When I saw it mentioned in the other thread, I just couldn't pass this up, so let's do this *.*

Limited to just UK top 100 hits even if it does mean we lose a few of their underrated gems, to make a round 30, I also eliminated two I didn't feel would have a chance of doing anything (sorry to any fans of Brothers and Sisters or Miracles 2014 edition)

To get rid of some of the deadwood, the first few rounds will be double eliminations so please vote for your TWO least favourite songs from above. Bad Coldplay taste will result in a ban, just fyi x

I'll aim to open a new round every 3/4 days, I'll give you until Friday midnight for this one. GO GO GO

This is going to get completely impossible fast, but there are a few easy targets here. Going for Miracles (Someone Special) which I have very little recollection of and Atlas, which was a complete non song.

YES YES YES *.* so many brilliant songs there!

went for 'Something Just Like This' and 'Miracles (Someone Special)' - the former has been overplayed to death and just isn't the kind of thing I love them for, then I never felt compelled to return to the latter oops, 'Hypnotised' was far far better from that project

I imagine it'll be a few rounds before I start voting for anything in the top half of the list, though hopefully not many as they don;t go quickly.

If I've heard the songs with Chainsmokers and Big Sean they made no impression, and can't imagine I'd think much of them if I haven't.

An exceptionally strong list here, although I fear for how bad the results might be considering people are already voting for Shiver in the first round sad.gif

Gone for Atlas and Everglow.

'Something Just Like This' absolutely sticks out like a sore thumb on that list, it was good that it gave them another big hit in the streaming era but it really weighs down their discography, extremely mediocre song. Also gone with 'Miracles (Someone Special)' which was my favourite of the songs off 'Kaleidoscope' probably but that's not really saying much, still only an ok song. Will get difficult to pick songs pretty quickly after those two and 'Atlas' are gone!

I’m really happy to see this!

Started off with ‘Miracles (Someone Special) and ‘Lost’. For me their the two weakest of their singles.

I feel I'm going to become unpopular pretty quickly. Miracles, and God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, but fair warning, The Scientist and Magic are in the firing line fairly soon.

I love Atlas and Lost!, let's not go for them first, both excellent examples in how to do slow Coldplay that I feel they improved upon from their early Rush days. Well, Atlas is slower and beautiful, but Lost! has some incredibly memorable lyrics (and I enjoy the + version with Jay-Z quite a bit).

as for Something Just Like This, it's cool, not much worse as a party song as A Sky Full Of Stars or Hymn For The Weekend are and I'd hope at least the former from those two is here for the long run.

aww Atlas is one of my favourite Coldplay songs this decade, really good use of tender dynamics. Meanwhile I vote A Sky Full Of Stars & Something Just Like This, which aren't exactly awful, but feel like bland hit chasing.

That's a sample, the Ritmo writers were paid and credited.

I think 'Magic' is one that'd be out pretty early anyway but oh hoe no @ 'The Scientist'. x

Tbh the thing with 'Atlas' is just that it's pretty much the only song on this list that I don't immediately recall what it sounds like, I did like it quite a lot at the time as with basically all of their non-'Kaleidoscope' singles iirc but it just hasn't really stuck with me like all their other songs have. Should probably give it a relisten before I blindly vote for it in the second round. x

I know, thats why I wrote it, doesn't stop the song being their worst ever

How anyone can think Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is Coldplay's worst ever song is beyond me.

Rather sad Don't Panic (their Top-3 songs) is a not in a list but understood the rules, so...

Minus Miracles & Everglow in this round.
