Surprise bitch x we back *.* (also other surprise, I acc have space in my PM box to receive votes ohmy.gif )

(Banner will be coming in the next few days!, aka probs never ever ever. x. unless someone wants to make one x)

Hello there and welcome to the opening round of Buzzjack's movie awards 2019. Below are some categories where you are able to nominate up to 5 films in each category (unless specified in brackets, e.g. 10 for best film!), these will then be totalled up and sent through to the final round where you vote for your absolute favourites.
Any film released in the UK from January 1st 2019 to December 31st 2019 (I'm not making a pretty definitive list below of the UK films released between those dates this year sorry, tho I'll lyk if u nominate anything that is ineligible!). Just don't nominate films that aren't released in the UK in this period. In terms of ineligibility in other categories, Awkwafina is ineligible in newcomer but think that's it in terms of notable ones that have a chance.

This is the third Buzzjack Oscars under the new rules (previously we went by American dates) so let the competition start *.* You have 2 weeks for submitting nominations this year followed by voting for the winners from the nominees list! (that should be enough)

Also make sure to check out our throwback Oscars results that got published last week with no replies *.* . 2003 & 2004 will go up at some point (lemme not say a date cos I said this last year x)
ALSO GO VOTE IN 2018 VOTING!!

Also feel free to nominate even if you have seen as little as 1 or 2 films, every vote counts!

The deadline for submitting nominations is the 31st January 23:59PM, but please try sending your nominations as soon as you can as this would make it a lot easier for us! kink.gif Please PM your nominations to me, thank you!

In this thread, you can & we encourage you to make For Your Consideration (FYC) Posts!. FYC posts here are posts where you post films & performances & songs etc that'd you loved throughout the year to try & encourage other people to check them out/vote for it by posting what categories they'd stand out in! You can just post the film and categories you suggest it excels in or you can make it creative and use posters & pictures and that! I'll be posting my FYC's over the next couple of days!

If you want any new categories or any of the categories explained, ask me in this thread and I'll explain x

Let's go *.*

in terms of some eligibility things, these are just kinda the main things

Are eligible: The Favourite, all the other 2018 Oscars contenders released in the UK in 2019 (which isn't v. many tbh)
Aren't eligible: Jojo Rabbit, 1917, Copperfield, Bombshell

everything else should be pretty obvs but if u got any questions u can message me if they're eligible or just include them in your noms and I'll lyk if they aren't x
