great to finally have another new country here.
oh and I see a former Danævii entry in your personal chart #1s list too! ('Legacy', which we sent to the Worldvision spinoff to represent Russia). so that's a promising sign. |

and here we have the song to represent us this edition. lets give the time to the sirius guy to introduce this song. Rhyme So, consisting of the Australian singer-songwriter Rhyme and the Japanese producer Shinichi Osawa, released an avant-garde pop and music video, with minimalistic lyrics. The lyrics speak about the norm surrounding the ginormous usage of social media. Inevitably, a lot of people have taken it seriously and their mental health becomes an issue. Rhyme So hoped to "get [people] off the excess, unnecessary social media that may harm mental health.", but they did it in a fun way. They also wanted to promote sustainable fashion through their music video and lyrics. Personally, I really like the style of the music which is minimalistic and the commentary that gives a unique vibe. It is also haunting in the way how social media has sucked our attention and real life into it, demonstrated by the instrumentation. It is undoubtedly fun and catchy as well. The greatest part I like is that how they managed to produce this song that sounds as if it is a novelty, but at the moment elicit the deep meaning and the social "problem" we have in the world at the moment. I hope all enjoy this entry! |
