Someone will say the same thing about us 40 years from now can't even begin to imagine what the chart scene will be then! I really cant imagine 'Drake Tootsie Slide' being the equilivant of classics like we all listen to now like 'Come On Eileen, Rio, Vienna, Parklife, Bitter Sweet Symphony or the like or maybe they will and I am just getting old lol. |

Ava Max Kings & Queens 4th single from Heaven & Hell Released: 12th March 2020 Label: Atlantic Records Chart Statistics NE (26/03/2020) | 90-96-71-45-41-42-39-33-29-25-30-27-31-26-21-19-22 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 10 Sales 30 Audio Streaming 98 Video Streaming Video Biography Channeling the imaginations and aesthetics of forebears like Sia and Lady Gaga, Albanian-American pop singer/songwriter Ava Max delivers empowering, dance-friendly anthems similar to contemporaries such as Bebe Rexha, Sigrid, and Dua Lipa. Emerging in the late 2010s, she appeared on collaborations with Le Youth, Witt Lowry, and David Guetta while also releasing her own singles, including her breakthrough smash hit "Sweet but Psycho," which topped the charts in almost two dozen countries. Born Amanda Ava Koci in Wisconsin, she was raised by Albanian immigrant parents in Virginia. She started singing at a young age and was already active in singing competitions by the time she reached high school. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full time, she joined local disco revival producer Le Youth on his bright dance track "Clap Your Hands," which became a summer hit in 2017. The next year, she showcased her Sia-esque vocals with debut solo single "My Way" (Atlantic) before following with "Slippin" and "Not Your Barbie Girl," which interpolated Aqua's '90s classic. That year, she also joined rapper Witt Lowry on his track "Into Your Arms" and David Guetta on "Let It Be Me" from his album 7. Ava Max issued her biggest hit to date that summer as breakthrough single "Sweet but Psycho" -- an addictive pop gem produced by Cirkut (the Weeknd, Katy Perry, Rihanna) -- began charting across Europe. As the song built momentum across the globe, she signed with Full Stop Management, home to Charli XCX, Harry Styles, HAIM, and others. By summer 2019, "Sweet but Psycho" had topped the charts on over a dozen charts in Europe, as well as in New Zealand and on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. The sleeper hit was soon certified platinum in Australia, the U.S., and the U.K. Max followed with modest hit "So Am I," which got the K-pop remix treatment with guests NCT 127. Gearing up for her official full-length, she released additional singles "Blood, Sweat & Tears," "Freaking Me Out," and "Slow Dance" with AJ Mitchell. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2018 01 Sweet But Psycho -1- MILLIONAIRE 2019 13 So Am I -2- 2019 87 Torn -3- 2020 19 Kings & Queens -4- 1 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 3 x Top 20 | 3 x Top 40 | 4 x Top 100 Social Media Ava Max |

Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber Stuck With U Non-album single Released: 9th May 2020 Label: Silent Records Ventures Chart Statistics NE (21/05/2020) | 4-8-10-15-16-18-19-17-21 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 09 Audio Streaming 02 Video Streaming Video Biography Ariana Grande Armed with a mesmerizing, nimble soprano—and a vocal register often likened to Mariah Carey’s and Christina Aguilera’s—Ariana Grande began her career as a child star on Broadway and Nickelodeon before transforming into a pop and R&B powerhouse. Instantly recognizable thanks to her signature ponytail, cat ears, babydoll dresses, and breezy self-confidence, her slyly sexual personal brand has, like that of the Spice Girls before her, become an iconic image of young female power. But Grande is more than a symbol: Over the course of several albums and scores of hit singles—beginning with 2013’s “The Way” (featuring Mac Miler) through The Weeknd-assisted “Love Me Harder” and “Break Free” (featuring Zedd)—she has consistently outshined her male collaborators and deftly parlayed her stardom into activism. An LGBTQ advocate and outspoken feminist (“I’m tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present, or future PROPERTY,” she tweeted in 2016), she uses her platform to confront issues like misogyny, sexism, homophobia, and bullying, spreading a message of love over all. Nowhere was this more clear than in May 2017: After terrorists attacked her concert in Manchester, England, killing 22 and injuring hundreds, Grande continued her tour. "Perspective changes your life,” she told Beats 1’s Ebro Darden. "You want to stay in the moment and try not to give into fear, because obviously the whole point of finishing the tour was being there for my fans. You want to set the same example and keep going.” And that she did: Her Max Martin-produced smash “No Tears Left to Cry,” an escapist dance-floor triumph released a year after the attack, sends a message of hope and healing, with a dose of hear-me-roar attitude. - iTunes Justin Bieber There’s a moment in a 2020 interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe where Justin Bieber begins—quietly, hesitantly—to cry. “It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry, and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they love me, and just turning their back on you in a second,” Bieber says, each clause kicking up memories like dust. The point isn’t to weep with or for him—he had more dreams come true in his first 25 years than most people manage in a lifetime. But he’s also one of the few pop stars of his generation to have truly grown up in public, weathering the cable newsification of celebrity culture in the internet era while still trying to develop as both an artist and a person. Even early on, you could tell he had his eye on the future, balancing a doe-eyed wholesomeness with earnest attempts at hip-hop and R&B, material that suited him as a kid with material that reflected his growth into adolescence and adulthood. Some teen-pop singers end up trapped in amber; Justin Bieber has, knocks and all, kept swimming. Born in London, Ontario, in 1994, Bieber was famously discovered when his future manager, Scooter Braun, stumbled on some performance videos that Bieber’s mom had uploaded to YouTube to share with family and friends. Braun, who understood not only Bieber’s appeal but the potential of the internet, encouraged him to keep making videos and keep the equipment cheap—an approach that not only helped Bieber’s growing fanbase to understand that he was still just a kid like them, but drafted a new blueprint for how artists could reach audiences in the digital era. With the exception of a voice change around 2011, 2009’s My World, 2010's My World 2.0 and 2012's Believe are more or less of a piece: the sound of a boy trying to stick the landing into puberty. Released in 2015, Purpose showed Bieber developing a more thoughtful connection to his material, including collaborations with vanguard pop producers like Diplo, Skrillex and benny blanco. After a five-year break during which Bieber underwent significant personal changes—including a detox from touring life, a diagnosis of Lyme disease and a epiphanic marriage to Hailey Baldwin—he came back with 2020’s Changes. “People have been putting me on a pedestal,” Bieber told Apple Music. ""I didn’t ask for that. Obviously I love making music, but there are a lot of people that love making music and they’re not in the position that I’m in. I’m just trying to steward that wisely, steward my relationship wisely. I want people to take a look at my story—hopefully, my words can make a difference.” - iTunes Top 100 Chart History Ariana Grande 2013 41 The Way (feat. Well I mean, you've picked one recent hit that's already proving quite forgettable despite some solid success, to compare to all-time classics Something like Someone You Loved, Dance Monkey or Blinding Lights would be a better comparison! Oh of course there's plenty of classic nowadays too I didn't mean them just all these weekly NEs for the latest grime stuff that's very forgettable is what I mean. Im sure there was also a lot of forgettable durge back than too, you just have to watch totp 1989 tonight at 7.30 on bbc 4 to see some of it. Its just that song I was talking about was extremely ridiculous. |
