The Weeknd lost Artist of the Year to Gaga fans WITHOUT the help of Ariana fans, imagine thinking he would have enough votes to beat Gaga + Ariana fans TOGETHER and in the main category of the night

Bigger fanbase doesn’t mean much if a song is much more popular. And Blinding Lights is more popular. Around a billion more plays on Spotify than ROM. As much as I am tired of the song it has a better video in my opinion as well. |

The Weeknd had no more votes than Gaga + Ariana, that is the only truth. Moreover, BL deserved Song of the Year, not Video of the year. The video of that song was a nonevent, even the audio has more views than the video.

I wouldn’t say Blinding Lights is a nonevent of a video. In the event of it not going to Rain on Me his video was definitely the best from the other nominees.

Now THERE it is, I feel excited about this era for the first time since the album release! She served choreo. I loved the nod to 911 (hint towards Single 3 or just for the fans?), Rain On Me was electric to watch (and Ari held her own) and the costumes and set up of the performance slayed. WD Gags
