Poor Christina having to settle for B-List with COO(AIWIY).

Interesting to see “Please Forgive Me” on the A-list, it's SO Radio 2! Although the single edit was a slight remix IIRC.

I would say it's a great playlist because I was obessively listening to Radio 1 at the time - I particularly remember Sara Cox on the breakfast show hammering “Sunset (Bird Of Prey)” and hearing it on the school bus.

My favourites are Silence (I assume they played the Airscape version which is my favourite version anyway), Doom's Night (this one is a bit like Mr Oizo Flat Beat from the year before in style), Sky (which I prefer to It Feels So Good), Please Forgive Me, Beautiful Day, Trouble and In Demand.

To be fair its more uptempo than most David Gray tracks and it does have a sort of trip hop/Moby-style beat to it. Its easily my favourite David Gray track anyway.

The very idea of The Corrs, Texas, and David Gray being on a R1 playlist.

Who on earth was DJ Rolando, and how did they wind up with multiple playlist spots?

I don't remember OANLT or 'Please Stay' being massive radio airplay tracks at the time which is strange given how massive 'Spinning Around' was. Fast forward a year and there was no getting away from Kylie!

Wasn’t this David Grays big era? A bit like James Bay they support them initially!

Which single are you referring to?

They did support Walk Me Home and I think they c listed Can We Pretend for about a fortnight but none of the other singles and it’s pretty clear they’re done with her.

I very much doubt they'll playlist her track with Keith Urban, but I think the continued Radio 1 support will depend on whatever she comes back with for her next era.

I was referring to 'Can We Pretend'. I don't recall her pushing any further singles besides that and 'Walk Me Home'? (Looking on the fountain on knowledge that is Wikipedia it says that the title track was sent to radio only in Australia and the Netherlands (previously only being a promo single so unless that's inaccurate I'd say it was only a promo single in the UK), and 'Love Me Anyway' was sent to US country radio, that's all besides the first 2 singles).

If they snub the lead single from her next album then sure that would mean they are done with her (and I'm not saying that's unlikely, it just seems a bit presumptuous to say it's 'clear' that they are already when they supported multiple singles from her most recent album).

I'd be very surprised if they playlisted 'One Too Many' but then that's a Keith Urban song, not a P!nk song.

these are very hard to come by unfortunately nocheer.gif but here is the one from 26th October 2000.

Apparently Ne Plus Ultra has the whole year of 2001 playlist, so I will pick up from there and post regularly starting January cheer.gif

Wow at Dido getting playlisted at the same time as Stan! I do remember hearing Here With Me a lot at the end of 2000 despite in not being released until the next February. I remember hearing Stan for the first time and needing to know who the female vocalist was!
