Not the most exciting week for new additions but I'm surprised that Lil Nas X is considered big enough to go straight to A-list.
Sad to see Becky Hill off already though not entirely unexpected given its disappointing chart performance |

Starting to look like the Foo Fighters will never be snubbed for as long as they continue!

no surprise they added Billie but Lil Nas X!!! I wasn't expecting that
and didn't know Arlo Parks was on a new version of Tangerine, that's great! |

Can’t believe that Foo Fighters are still getting supported! I genuinely thought that they would probably be ignored now. Also surprised that Lil Nas X has been put straight on the a list but I like the song so I’m not complaining.
Very happy to see Glass Animals on there again as well as the KC Lights song and Alfie Templeman. A shame that Jerusalema and Impossible have both been taken off. Jerusalema has lasted longer than I thought it would so I’m not too disappointed by that but I was pretty sure that Impossible would be moved onto the A List. Haven’t all of Nothing But Thieves’ recent singles got to the A List? |

Haven’t all of Nothing But Thieves’ recent singles got to the A List? 'Is Everybody Going Crazy?' was A-listed but 'Real Love Song' only reached the B-list. I would have liked to see 'Impossible' A-listed as it's the best song of the current era but I'm not too surprised to see it stall. |

Great to see Billie and Lil Nas instant A-Listed. Think I asked this on another thread but is 'Holiday' a seasonal song?
Also great to see them continue to support the Foo Fighters new track, I actually really like how different it is. Great to see Glass Animals continued support and new single released from the fantastic 'Dreamland' album. But my favourite new edition this week from Sunflower Bean, fantastic slice of indie which is closing in on the number one spot on my PC currently. In relation to the Nothing But Thieves discussion surprised the last two singles 'Impossible' and 'Real love Song' were not A-Listed as they are the best two songs on the album, much better than 'Is Everybody Going Crazy'. |

I highly doubt it, they don't tend to really support seasonal releases. Is there a John Lewis Christmas advert this year and do we know what song they're using? The Becky song on the McDonalds xmas ad is just a cover of 'Forever Young' by Alphaville, so not strictly a seasonal track. Has it ever charted in the UK - the Alphaville song peaked at 98 in 1984 according to wiki but theres other versions. they always played a happy hardcore version at the disco when I was young which was a dancefloor hit in Ireland. |

I didn't think Lil Nas X was big enough to get an insta A-list add.
I haven't even heard of the song/artist that's the longest runner on here. |

I've always thought it was weird how Alphaville's original never charted as it's such a well known song. That club version you're talking about is probably Interactive's version which came out in 1996 and was pushed again in 2002. It's out today and by Celeste called 'Little Lies' who they love...plus it's an original song I can see that getting a few weeks on the playlist then - although they haven't supported her as strongly as I thought they would this year. The Jay-Z & Mr Hudson version charted at Number 10 back in 2009....although was titled 'Young Forever'. Yeh that was a fantastic track. Maybe it could be listed as one of the most well known none top 40 hits? Anyway it’s 50/50 whether radio 1 will support Becky Hills version as they didn’t for example support the seasonal version of ‘Only You’ last December but we shall see! Yes Mango Interactive was the version! |
