The fact that No Time For Tears is her last vocal contribution to a Little Mix though...

And she stole the whole song.

Their post on the group Instagram has over 2 million Likes. ohmy.gif

Also I'm listening to the album and some of the lyrics are so...eerie -

'You're missing me but I'm finally free'
'I was searching for happiness'
'I'm a mess, oh since you left'
All of My Love Won't Let You Down.

Also, Jesy singing this in 'Breathe' -
"And it hurts like hell
It's like I don't love myself"

The more I’ve thought about it, it’s such a shame she felt she had to leave. She didn’t get it easy with the media etc which must have been hard for 9 years. That being said she hasn’t looked interested for a long time in my opinion. I think there’s more contributing factors tbh. I’ve never got the impression she likes the more pop stuff that they did which the latest album was and can’t help but think that maybe contributed too.

I’ll be fully supporting them as a 3 piece. Hope they continue for more than just 1 album. Happiness as the next single to end the era then come back with a new album.

Have you seen her when they perform? She looks like she's performing for the first time over and over (in the best possible way)

I don't think she likes cheesy pop like Black Magic (As good as it is) whereas she loves dance pop like Touch and she even loved Shout Out to My Ex, so who the hell knows where her tastes lie. I definitely don't think she got bored, she seemed genuinely excited for the Confetti era.

Honestly I just think the timing is the weird thing.

Missing album release week (and hosting the EMAs) is one thing but she could have let the other three girls carry on like they were, been 'on a break' until next year and returned for the Confetti tour then left (or convinced the others to let the group rest for a while) which would surely have been easier from a contractual and PR perspective.

Like, I'd understand if this was at the end of an album cycle or even during a heavy tour schedule but the timing is bizarre and makes me think it was something specific that triggered it.

We don't know what the process behind everything is though? We can theorize and guess all we like, but we don't know what the thought process behind it all was. Maybe it was a "sleep on it and see how you feel" kind of decision, or maybe she just struggled so much with being in the group that she took a break, started realising that she felt a lot less pressure and more happy and healthy within herself away from the group... we just don't know.

She's working on herself and that's the important part of it all. Her health and happiness NEEDS to become number 1 priority!

I think lockdown had a part to play. She had so much downtime to think and then when they started going out in public again around September and being papped for the Live Lounge and then the infamous panic attack, I really think it was a specific event that triggered it but more so it was just a realisation that she didn't want to be in the public eye anymore.

Like others have said speculation is really hard (and also disrespecting if we start reading every little thing) I'm just glad that she's taking the time to recover.

I hope she doesn't quit the industry though, whilst it's true being solo means all eyes are on her it also lets her have more control, and I'm sure that because of her past any contract she ends up in would be tailored to make sure she gets a break. Who knows, future companies could follow suit and mental health in the music industry is treated as a serious thing rather than a "bad day". Jesy's actions could be bigger than we think. But that voice and that performing ability and that charisma deserves to be in the spotlight.

As a Sugababes fan, I sympathise on a very deep level with how you are all feeling at the moment. It’s not easy and it’s utterly devastating but the music they made together and the contributions to your life and memories will be untarnished. That much I can promise.

I, personally as a casual fan of LM from the X Factor shows on, am quite proud of Jesy for the way she has handled this and for very publicly putting her health first and foremost. There is an entire generation of young kids who are going to see that it is ok to take a step back to protect your mental health even if that means stepping away from a job or people you love.

Much love to you all x

No and to be honest I wouldn't expect them too.

I have a feeling it's all been a bit of a shock, only in November they referenced wishing Jesy was with them, so maybe she still hadn't officially decided at that point.

I think they'll have a break from Social's, spend Christmas with in the 'real world' and try and come to terms with everything.

I must admit they probably are also really worried on the whole future of LM...They must know that this is sadly the beginning of the end.

It only has to be the beginning of the end if they let it. If they keep producing material like the Confetti era then they’ll be fine. They need to be committed and put the effort in for it to be a success. They’ve only lost a member, the 3 that are still there are crazy talented and more than capable of continuing.

See, I always thought it was because the other 3 would cut her out of certain things and the realisation culminated during lockdown. Example: the Comic Relief climb up Mt. Kili. 2 of the girls went, and the other (Perrie, was it?) was constantly Facetiming them during their trip....but no mention of Jesy at all being in contact. It's like, they worked well as a band but she'd drifted away. As people grow, we grow into and out of certain relationships, and perhaps the 3 just bonded better. Nobody's fault. And, as I've said before, all this is just conjecture. I just wish them all the best. Especially Jesy.

Yes. But Jesy took with her the most important thing - the brand identity of the group. Without her, they'll be just any other generic trio.

I honestly think as a trio they will be fine!

If they release another single with a female pop star can you imagine the comparisons and attention it’s going to get, especially if the rumoured Zara collab is real

The funny thing for me is that a lot of international fans/youtubers/reactors etc. perceive(d) Jesy as the leader of the group.

She had a raw confidence in performances/interviews which is I guess kind of darkly ironic if she was struggling behind the scenes. Maybe in a way that contributed.

Also I do wonder if there was some kind of clash with management, for example, after Jesy honestly admitted that she didn't like Black Magic in an interview. I know loads of us fans really appreciate when the girls are honest in interviews, but it's possible it led to shouting matches or similar behind the scenes, and she just decided she didn't want to put up with that any more.

Being in a girlband especially is very difficult in terms of the image you present. So much of the media has insisted that only children are allowed to like girlbands/pop music and so they must always tone down their personalities so as to be socially acceptable. After ten years, I can see that becoming jarring too, especially when you are otherwise independently wealthy and should have a lot of freedom.

We can all speculate and I’m sure there was a lot of going’s on behind the scenes that didn’t help.

It doesn’t seem like she left on terms with management that’s for sure and she hastily removed them from Instagram.

So proud of her and I just hope the girls haven’t fallen out or turned frosty behind the scenes because as a 4 they really did seem like sisters!

Proud of all of them really, carrying on as a 3 promoting the album while all of this was happening...

They all deserve the world, all are still so humble too.
