What's the worst managerial appointment that has been made and why?

Great question! biggrin.gif

I would suggest that Unai Emery was one of Arsenal’s poorest managers to date.

Louis Van Gaal is the worst manager of Man Utd in my lifetime.

Also the wally with the brolly, aka Steve McClaran, was one of the worst England managers appointed in recent years that I could think of.

You honestly think Van Gaal was worse than Moyes?

Frank De Boer at Crystal Palace is the answer.

I think David Moyes was unfortunate to be the one to step into Alex Ferguson’s big shoes. But he did sign a couple of players that went on to contribute to the club including Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata who of course still plays for the club.

Van Gaal signed Radamel Falcao. That says it all.

That's really odd as while Van Gaal's style of football was not great, the likelihood was on the progression to win the title.

Roy Hodgson at Liverpool is surely up there, the guy almost got us relegated!

You can thank Brian Tinnion for getting Souness the chop...

Rémi Garde for Aston Villa. He was absolutely hopeless during the 2015/16 season.

Just remembered Alan Pardew at West Brom a few years back.

One of the only appointments in PL history I can remember without any new manager bounce at all whatsoever.

Fellaini is the WORST player that has pulled on the hallowed shirt in my life time. Absolutely cannot stand the floppy haired useless c**t.

Moyes wasnt/isn't fit to grace the visiting managers area on a Stadium Tour.

Even with all that hair, he still contributed more than the hair of Willian in an Arsenal shirt. laugh.gif

My first Bristol City game was a 1-0 defeat at home against Blackpool in August 1996 (should have stopped then), so just before my time. My dad went to Anfield and asked if we (me and my twin brother) wanted to go but we weren’t really in to football back in ‘94, so we missed out on a massive win/occasion! drama.gif

We probably preferred to watch Power Rangers instead tbh laugh.gif

I’m concerned for Sam Allardyce at West Brom, could this be his worst club that he’s managed... I don’t see him turning things around unless they get some serious signings in this transfer window.

It's looking that way at the moment for Big Sam.
