She really has an uphill battle with this now it seems to have died a death views wise. She has had decent promo, The one show, radio 2, OCC article, tabloid reporting on it. With all that the videos from last week are under 8k views. At this point why is she even bothering?

This weeks track was another leaked one, Hallelujah which she did with Ryan Louder. Her vocal sounds fantastic on this.

Really enjoyed the video clip too and seeing more of her relationship with Bluebell who has grown into a smart, sassy young lady. smile.gif

This one's actually my favorite of the videos so far. I've felt all along that Geri needed other personalities to bounce off of...and this video proves it. The interactions with Bluebell and Monte sell this video better than the ones that have come before. Bluebell should be in all of these (...and I'd add her mom too).

Before this video, I never totally grasped the significance of Geri's past eating disorders...contrasted with her interest in baking today. It's an interesting personal journey. I wouldn't have expected a video about baking to be more interesting than climbing a mountain or driving a tank...but here we are.

I'll complain less about the lyric video this time. Of course, Hallelujah is one we've heard before, but unlike the Man on the Mountain tracks, I've never considered it a leak. Her co-writer/producer uploaded the song to Youtube years ago with Geri's approval...so this one's always felt more legitimate. And I've always liked the song too.

I wonder why they decided to move the lyric videos to Sunday rather than Tuesday....

Hallelujah is one of her best recent solo songs as it has much fuller and richer production which helps her vocals seem less exposed and raw.

I'm not even watching the other video of her baking because I just don't care.

I agree I've not really thought much of the other track videos so far, the talking over is annoying, however I really liked this one. Like you said it was lovely to see her relationship with Bluebell, and Geri looked bloody amazing in the video too. wub.gif

TERROR TARGET

Geri Halliwell reveals nail bomber planned to kill her on stage at the Brits for being pals with George Michael

GERI Halliwell has revealed she was targeted by the Admiral Duncan nail bomber who planned to assassinate her on stage at the Brits.

Ahead of her first solo performance, the Spice Girl was formally warned by police not to perform - but fearlessly refused to pull-out.

Cops intercepted plans by homophobic terrorist David Copeland, jailed for life in 2000, to shoot Geri live on stage because she was “friends with George Michael”.

The singer says: “It was before my first ever performance as a solo artist that he issued me with a death threat.

“He threatened to shoot me, and hated the fact I hung out with the gays, and was friends with George Michael.

“He hated me for camping it up, for loving the gays and for being friends with George. I told him to do one.

“Scotland Yard were involved, and the police had to come round to my house, to warn me officially.

“They said they had to give me the freedom to choose whether I performed or not, but that they advised me to pull out of the ceremony.

“But I said 'I'm sorry, I'm not going to be bullied by this'.

“We are judged by what we do, not what we say - and I will always stand with my friends.

"It's about spirit, not sexuality - I feel so protective of any person who has had prejudice against them."

The brave star went on to perform memorably at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, belting out Bag It Up, flanked by a suitably camp gaggle of glitter-covered back-up dancers.

Cops, and extra security, were called in on the night, off the back of Geri’s death threat.

Refusing to be kowtowed, she gamely emerged on stage from the top of a grand staircase, strategically positioned between a pair of giant inflatable legs.

Geri, 48, was famously best pals with the late superstar, and even named her young son, Montague George, after the singer.

The Wham! frontman, who died on Christmas Day four years ago, supported Geri after she quit the Spice Girls in 1998.

David Copeland was given six life sentences in June 2000 for three counts of murder and three counts of causing explosions in London in order to endanger life.

During 13 days in April 1999, he caused explosions in Brixton, south London, Brick Lane in east London and Soho, central London.

The final blast - containing 1500 nails - went off at the gay pub the Admiral Duncan and killed Andrea Dykes, 27, who was pregnant, and friends John Light, 32, and Nik Moore, 31, from Essex.

He was tried at the Old Bailey in 2000 for murder after the prosecution refused to accept his plea of guilty to manslaughter on the grounds that he was suffering a mental illness - paranoid schizophrenia.

In 2011 he lost his appeal to reduce his minimum jail term of 50 years.

She's also been asked about her love for wearing white, again:

When we meet, Geri is dressed head to toe in her trademark white.

Over the past 15 months, it has become her signature sartorial look.

“My wardrobe is like looking at the French Alps - a vast expanse of white,” she laughs.

“I have gone through stages of wearing all black but then I just thought, well, I quite like cream and white.

“Then I started buying more and more of it, and if you start buying something in any one colour, it becomes one less thing to think about. I really recommend it to anyone - it's really easy.

“Everything becomes really simple. I like the colour, and it's like wearing a school uniform as an adult.

“It matches with everything and I literally don’t have to think in the mornings. It's great for busy people - it kind of looks like you've made an effort when you haven't.”

Her dry cleaning bill, she insists, “is not so bad”.

The story about the Brits is so sad and scary, especially considering the fact both her and Victoria were targeted that night...

I do LOVE the fact that she went ahead with possibly the campiest performance the Brits has ever since.

Just watched the new episode (the lyrics one is not out yet) and the focus song is Love And Light. I've Got A Name is also played at some point in the episode.

I'll wait for the 'lyric' video. I think them moving the lyric video around shows they aren't happy with views and are trying to see if other times work better.

This week's video is nice. She's delivering presents to frontline healthcare workers who are treating COVID patients. Two thoughts.

Firstly...a little unusual she's driving around in a Rainbow Woman van. The logo's nice enough and everything...but. Why does it need a van? I guess it'd make more sense to me if Rainbow Woman was some clothing brand (that's what the logo looks like to me). But as a logo just promoting a YouTube page? Well. Okay. Maybe her crew carries their equipment around in it?

Secondly, I got kinda hung up on wanting to know what she was delivering to everybody. All we ever see are their wrapped packages she's dropping off. So. It's kinda like...what did you get everyone? Why, "presents"! Um. Oh.

The video's nice enough, though. I like it better than the skiing video from last week. My initial thought about the series was that it'd be about Geri challenging herself with new things. But I've come to realize she's actually just doing a showcase of existing hobbies. And some of that (the skiing) can come off a bit mundane. But. Look. Giving the spotlight to frontline healthcare workers is always a positive. Seems like I Got A Name will be the song of the week.

I think this is pretty much the biggest issue with the entire thing - what exactly is the point? The videos are well-produced and all, but is this entire project just to promote her YouTube page? If that's the case she might as well do mukbangs since I'm sure that would bring more casual viewers than her showcasing her hobbies.

On the other hand, Geri getting a "Rainbow Woman" van is just such a Geri thing to do. Nice to see Ginger is still alive in there, somewhere.

If the ultimate aim of this is to have a successful YouTube channel she is failing. If it is to get excitement for her solo music she is also failing having pissed loads of fans off with the roll out of not full talked over 'lyric' videos.

If the aim is to have fun and to show her grandiose life now well she us fulfilling that but I can't help feel that's not doing her any good in terms of the perception of her.

I'm really enjoying the videos and how she weaves the music into them. Some are quirky, some thought provoking and some experimental/outside the box.

Its clearly just a passion project for her overall. No her subs and views aren't amazing but they are slowly and steadily rising and she has a dedicated group of fans who seem to enjoy whats coming next.

I love Gerita, but her driving a f***ing truck with the Rainbow Woman print on it, carrying bags with Rainbow Woman print on it and then claiming that "it's all about THEM" - bless Gerita, I knew you were still in there. laugh.gif I'll never stop loving Ginger. She's the best. wub.gif

But I think the Thank You video shows why Our Chica Latina needs a bunch of girls to balance her out.

Just seen the video and f*** me, what a way to be condescending to people who have put their own lives on the line to save us all and have been mistreated by the Government. She, a multi-millionair popstar, made it all about herself...

I would have shoved the present in her face tbh
