Missed the top 40 this week?
ICU Liberty Singers Every Breath You Take (We Watch Over You) Non-album single Released: 18th December 2020 Label: Liberty Singers Video Biography The ICU Liberty Singers is a pop up online choir, open to ICU staff across the NHS, giving critical care workers the opportunity to sing together this Christmas. The choir is a collaboration between Kari Olsen-Porthouse (aka Liberty Singer) and Dr Alison Pittard, Dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. One hundred singers signed up within 48 hours of launching the project on Twitter. The numbers limit was extended as a result, and the choir now comprises over 140 members. The choir began life as an attempt to bring some fun and respite to ICU workers after the toughest year in history. Choir members include ICU staff such as nurses, doctors and allied health professionals who have been working on the frontline of healthcare. As more data emerges, it is now clear that around 1 in ten people who catch COVID-19 end up needing hospital treatment. Of those, around one third end up in ICU. This is why limiting the spread really matters – if 1000 people catch it, 100 will end up in hospital, and over 30 will end up in intensive care. Right now, over 20,000* new cases A DAY are being reported, with almost 1800* people in intensive care due to COVID. While the country has had varying degrees of lockdown to contend with – the relentless pace of caring for the most seriously affected has not changed hugely for ICU staff and now they face going in to winter – traditionally hugely challenging in a normal year – with a second wave hitting hard. Working on the basis that music and singing are immensely relaxing for the mind, Choir Director Kari Olsen Porthouse contacted Dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, Dr Alison Pittard and offered to run a pop up choir – with 4 singing sessions and a remote recording of one of the songs. - Official website Top 100 Chart History 2020 __ Every Breath You Take (We Watch Over You) -NAS- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 0 x Top 20 | 0 x Top 40 | 0 x Top 100 Social Media ICU Liberty Singers |

Their debut release, ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ featuring Goodboys, has now seen over a billion streams globally, reaching double platinum (1.2m units) in the UK alone and peaking at #2 on the Official UK Charts. This trend has followed Meduza globally, with multi Diamond, Platinum and Gold certifications around the world and a GRAMMY nomination. The follow up, ‘Lose Control’ with Goodboys and Becky Hill, has made an unprecedented impact, reaching the UK Top40 in its first week, now notching upward of 450 million cumulative streams, reaching Gold sales in the UK in less than 3 months. The touring diary for Meduza shows an almost insatiable demand for the hottest act in dance music, with El Row, Exit in Serbia, EDC Mexico and Las Vegas standing alongside smaller underground clubs like Fabric in London, The Rex in Paris, Toffler in Rotterdam, Amnesia Milan to name but a few key venues and events scaling the globe. One of the most popular and enduring American entertainers of the mid-20th century, Martin was nicknamed "The King of Cool" for his seemingly effortless charisma and self-assurance. Martin gained his career breakthrough together with fellow comedian Jerry Lewis, billed as Martin & Lewis, in 1946. They performed in nightclubs and later had numerous appearances on radio, television and in films. Following an acrimonious ending of the partnership in 1956, Martin pursued a solo career as a performer and actor. Martin established himself as a notable singer, recording numerous contemporary songs as well as standards from the Great American Songbook. He became one of the most popular acts in Las Vegas and was known for his friendship with fellow artists Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., who together formed the Rat Pack. Starting in 1964, Martin was the host of the television variety program The Dean Martin Show, which centred on Martin's singing talents and was characterized by his relaxed, easy-going demeanour. From 1974 to 1984 he was roastmaster on the popular Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, which drew notable celebrities, comedians and politicians. Throughout his career, Martin performed in concert stages, nightclubs, audio recordings and appeared in 85 film and television productions. His relaxed, warbling, crooning voice earned him dozens of hit singles, including his signature songs "Memories Are Made of This", "That's Amore", "Everybody Loves Somebody", "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You", "Sway", "Ain't That a Kick in the Head?" and "Volare". - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 1953 05 Kiss -NAS- 1954 02 That's Amore -1- 1954 06 Sway -NAS- 1954 15 How Do You Speak To An Angel -1- 1955 05 The Naughty Lady Of Shady Lane -1- 1955 14 Mambo Italiano -2- 1955 03 Let Me Go Lover -3- 1955 06 Under The Bridges Of Paris -NAS- 1956 01 Memories Are Made Of This -NAS- 1956 20 Young And Foolish -NAS- 1956 21 Innamorata -1- 1957 21 The Man Who Plays The Mandolino -NAS- 1958 02 Return To Me -1- 1958 02 Volare -2- 1964 11 Everybody Loves Somebody -1- 1964 42 The Door Is Still Open To My Heart -1- 1969 02 Gentle On My Mind -1- 2007 39 Let It Snow!
