That was based on Mariah usually doing about 4k of downloads on Christmas week and Holy being a couple of places higher than her on the sales chart, but of course if Holy's downloads were actually quite a bit more than 5k its SCR total would be lower.

Update for week ending 14/1:

So Little Mix’s #1 was genuine but with the lowest sale since the current chart ratios were established by a very long way.
Blinding lights would be claiming its 23rd week in the Top 3 (!) and would be joined in the Top 10 by a few other popular oldies, meaning that all the official #6-10 would have missed out. Bieber would be back in the Top 10 for the first time since Stuck With U I believe, as I think Holy stalled at 11 and his Christmas offering would not have made it.

Yes and it’s done around the same sale as it’s been doing every week, but it’s the first time the bottom of the Top 50 has dropped below 10k. sad.gif

Random question and I thought this was the most appropriate thread to post it on, does anyone know since the ACR rule was introduced in 2017, which song has spent the most weeks in the chart on SCR and the most weeks on ACR? I have a scary feeling the answer to both those questions is Perfect

SCR - Perfect by some distance, I believe it's had 48 weeks since the ACR rule came in, including 32 last year laugh.gif

ACR - Shotgun has had 94 weeks in the Top 100 (all except its first 24 and 3 weeks early last year), but I think Perfect is on 90 so will almost certainly overtake.

Shane Codd would actually be hitting the Top 10 for the first time.

I included Mr Brightside at #50 just for Jim. smile.gif Clearly the evergreen old songs like that, Perfect and Shallow are all riding high at the moment, maybe another sign of the evolving streaming demographic. As for why Baby Shark’s there, I haven’t a clue. wacko.gif

schools being closed probably is giving Baby Shark a bit of a boost as kids who'd otherwise be too preoccupied now get to entertain themselves with watching the video (or parents sticking it on for them to shut them up)

Haha, well the Fredo album tracks didn't do much in the end, and Mr Brightside is at its highest position officially since just after The Killers played Glastonbury (what's a festival? sad.gif ) so I guess it's the same here.

Surprised that Baby Shark would have only peaked at #14, but it makes sense with everything else in the chart that week.

'willow' peaking as low as #17 is one of the most surprising markdowns by removing ACR of recent times, even after remembering when it was released.

I've lost count of how many weeks Blinding Lights would have had in the top 10 by now, but it must be getting somewhere near the 51 managed by Someone You Loved (going by Joseph's post earlier in this thread).

I'm still surprised it's hung around for so long though. Surely the kids must get bored of it eventually and move on to the next cool new thing.

At least they've been more dignified than Crazy Frog and spared us a dozen follow up singles.
